So many mounting tapes out there just seem to end up being a mess with their residue but not this one. The fact that it's double sided makes it perfect for sticking two surfaces together without any visible tape showing. I used it to secure an LED strip under my kitchen cabinets and it worked like a charm. It stuck immediately and there was no peeling or curling at the edges.Another solid use was when I was hanging some picture frames. I’ve got a few frames that are a little bit heavier and I was worried about using traditional hangers. This tape held them on the wall securely and I didn’t have to deal with nails or hammering. I bought this tape to secure some garden ornaments to the top of a concrete wall. Initially I tried one layer of tape , but it didn't stick ! So , obviously being a complete genius ,I decided to try double layering the tape ! Hey presto and they all appear to have stuck fast ! However the test will really be as to whether they survive over time , so this review is based on having just stuck them in the last 24 hours ! However if you find the tape doesn't appear to stick , try double layering it ! Only drawback to that is the tape being so thick that you don't get much on a role so it took me nearly two roles for 7 fairy cottages !!

This mounting tape is really useful for mounting items as an alternative to glue. It is not easy remove.I have seen some reviews comment that it isn't sticky and they must have a bad batch. I would guess they apply the tape when it's too cold. It needs to be warm. Summertime is fine for application in the UK but when its winter it needs to warmed up. I used a hair dryer to the strip I wanted to apply and it bonds very well if you work while its still warm.

I always swore by Gorilla brand as it could stick anything to anything and stays stuck BUT this latest batch is useless, will not stick even the lightest things together. Waste of money .

I have been using 6kg gorilla tape for years, for various purposes inside and out and it has honesty been brilliant, it holds up externally well over a Scottish winter through constant heavy rain, or it has been used internally as a very small strip to hold small items to the top of my monitor screen or to a wall, however, what continues to annoy me about the gorilla tape is removing the backing tape, even when you have stuck the tape down firmly when you go to lift the backing tape the full tape comes off, I have tried a stanley blade a needle point and various other methods all with mixed results, no idea why a seemingly simple task should take so long or become so time consuming, finally I thought I would try a different brand of the same product and took a chance on one, they are very similar but with one significant difference, the backing tape on the other brand comes off easily with your fingernail, as it should.So far they seem to do the same job but I am only doing practical tests not scientific ones.Due to this issue I will continue to purchase the other brand if it holds up over time.

Doesn’t work
Really dangerous! None of the things I tried to tape worked and as a last hope I tried to fix a very light frame to the wall and after 20 min it crashed and some glass cut me. Anyways I hope others will have more successful.
It is very week compared to what I was getting locally
Everywhere I have used it, even though some of the items were around 10gr, they could not stay on the wall. I had cleaned the wall before using this glue, and this is not the first time I am hanging stuff using double-sided tapes.
Doesn’t work as advertised
This tape is a total letdown. Seriously, it can't even hold up something as light as a Christmas decoration. At first, it seems okay, but then, boom – everything comes crashing down. Talk about a flop! I tried sticking it on different things, like an outdoor sensor light – bad idea. The light sensor fell right off and broke. Also, don’t get me started on how it failed with a neon strip light. This tape is a joke. Save your money and buy something else that actually works.
Useless
As another shopper mentioned, it sticks awfully to smooth surfaces. I stuck it to a metal ceiling to hang a lightweight curtain on and even left it 24h to give it the best chance to adhere, but it fell off in under 12 hours. Totally useless if you want to hang anything on a smooth surface despite the guarantees
