Peanut oil Botanical / INCI name - Arachis hypogaea Peanut oil is the fixed oil obtained from the seed kernels of one or more of the cultivated varieties of the Peanut, Arachis hypogaea L., Leguminosae The values of the peanut oil strongly depend on the oil’s heritage. Peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils.The oil has a pleasant and sometimes slightly nut-like flavour. Besides its amazing taste peanut oil is an ideal choice for healthy frying because in comparison to other oils the temperature it can be heated up to is higher, it has a high smoke point – as high as 232°C.– it does not absorb the flavour of different kinds of food. Thanks to it, every component can maintain its typical flavour. This plant oil is characterised by a low content of cholesterol and a low content of saturated and unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fats. It is also a source of antioxidants, vitamin E and phytosterols. Fatty Acids composition: Palmitic acid Saturated - 10,5%, Stearic acid Saturated - 3,8%, Arachidic acid Saturated - 1,7%, Behenic acid Saturated - 3,0%, Lignoceric acid Saturated - 1,4%, Oleic acid Omega-9, mono unsaturated - 38,3%, Gadoleic acid (cis-9-icosenoic acid = cis-9-Eicosenoic acid) Omega-9, mono unsaturated - 1,0%, Linoleic acid Omega-6, poly unsaturated - 39,8% Further ingredients: Sterols - 253,2 mg/kg The given values are to be considered as approximate average values, which are based on scientific references and/or analysis Allergen status: Peanuts contain allergenes, of which Ara h2 is the most important one. Peanut oil can as well contain smallest amounts of protein and is therefore able to evoke allergic reactions. According to the REGULATION (EU) No 1169/2011 of 2011-October-25, Annex II, the peanut oil is an allergen and subject to labelling.
