Peanut oil Botanical / INCI name - Arachis hypogaea Peanut oil is the fixed oil obtained from the seed kernels of one or more of the cultivated varieties of the Peanut, Arachis hypogaea L., Leguminosae The values of the peanut oil strongly depend on the oil’s heritage. Peanut oil is one of the healthiest oils.The oil has a pleasant and sometimes slightly nut-like flavour. Besides its amazing taste peanut oil is an ideal choice for healthy frying because in comparison to other oils the temperature it can be heated up to is higher, it has a high smoke point – as high as 232°C.– it does not absorb the flavour of different kinds of food. Thanks to it, every component can maintain its typical flavour. This plant oil is characterised by a low content of cholesterol and a low content of saturated and unsaturated fats, especially monounsaturated fats. It is also a source of antioxidants, vitamin E and phytosterols.
