5.0 out of 5 stars It isnt cheap, but cheaper than lifting the floor. Brilliant
My porcelain tiled floor in the kitchen had failed in multiple places where it was laid over an existing wooden floor and unbeknownst to us not with a full adhesive bed by the tiler. Almost every tile was now unsurprisingly creaking after 6 years, but as the floor was fully tiled prior to installation of an expensive hand painted bespoke kitchen, effective removal/replacement was problematic and cost prohibitive to say the least. Also as the tiles were now discontinued, removing them was not really an option for fear of breakage. We discovered this product on Google and i can say is its absolutely brilliant and has fixed all the loose tiles and most of the voids under them that caused the fail. What to know - its a remarkably easy method to apply, drill the grout in several places with the supplied drill bit around the corners (i did the middle as well to ensure the whole void was filled) and inject the substance, weigh down the tile and avoid for 8-12 hours. The area i was filling was very large, so if you have more than the one tile to fix it might be worth looking for the bulk 3lr tub, verses multiple cartridges. I then syringed the liquid in which was hand breaking but i found I had more control than using a gun, where i initially broke multiple tips. I would calculate that I used around 4 tubs and a few cartridge's to fix a 12m Sq floor with a huge void all round. All in all around about £600 and a couple of evenings work and my floor 3 months on is rock solid with few detectable voids now. Brilliant product and a real lifesaver. Also their customer service direct is first class.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is great stuff
I have used this a few times now to fix down wobbly tiles, and it is fantastic!
4.0 out of 5 stars It works!!
This products works. I used this to fix a few hollow tiles. I did follow the opening instructions ect but it did leak. It sets fairly quickly. It’s is easy to use and the adhesion is very good. Overall very good value for money and if it didn’t leak I would give it a 5 star review.
5.0 out of 5 stars I had my doubts, but...
I had laminate flooring installed in my kitchen and hallway almost a year ago and did my best to even out the subfloor before it was installed but, rather inevitably, there are bits of the floor where my efforts of even it out weren't very successful, which has led to a couple of parts of it creaking, popping, jutting-up and sinking, which was starting to drive me mad, so I decided to look for a solution.I found this stuff and, I have to admit, I wasn't at all convinced that drilling holes in my flooring and injecting glue beneath it would work, but it was the only solution I could find, short of lifting the flooring and sorting out the subfloor which I REALLY didn't fancy doing because it would be a heck of a job. With a reluctant sigh, I bought some Fix-a-floor along with the precision injection kit and had a crack at it over the past weekend.I hate to admit that my doubts were unjustified, but this stuff actually works! I simply drilled a few holes around the edges of the problem laminate planks, then injected the Fix-a-floor into them before placing weights over them for a few hours. I honestly can't believe how well it's worked - the previously sinking, jutting-up, creaking and popping planks are now solid and level, and seem to be stuck solid. There are some things that I learned:1. Once you've drilled the holes, make sure to vacuum out the debris before trying to inject the Fix-a-floor into them, or you'll end up with a blocked injector nozzle. I learned this the hard way, so you don't have to. Thankfully, the injector nozzle is easy to unblock with a pin and can be easily cleaned by spitting water through it, so it wasn't a huge problem.2. Keep a damp cloth nearby when you're injecting the stuff, as it's really quite runny. It's water-based though, so it's easy to wipe up spills.3. As it's quite runny, be careful not to squeeze the trigger on your caulking gun too hard - small, gentle squeezes are the name of the game here. All in all, I'm mightily impressed with this Fix-a-floor stuff and would definitely recommend it if you've got some annoyingly squeaky and uneven bits in your laminate flooring.
3.0 out of 5 stars It did fix a floor but...
To start I was dubious whether this stuff would actually work as I had a hollow area under some laminate flooring which did give slightly every time it was stepped on. On the tube it stated that it was good for hollows under flooring, it came with a syringe nozzle and instructions on drill bit size etc. When actually applying the stuff, the glue leaked out everywhere, it leaked from around the syringe and when I realised it was dripping everywhere and put the 'gun' down to get a rag, it leaked out of the top of the tube. There was glue everywhere. I finished filling the void even more dubious than when I started especially after seeing how runny the glue was. I cleaned up and let the area dry for a couple of days. After getting back from my weekend away the area was fully dried, shockingly it appears to have resolved the void issue, although it seems that instead of filling the void it has glued all affected laminate pieces together from beneath, possibly gluing them to whatever surface they could. All in all, I would use the stuff again as it has appeared to do what it's supposed to but I'd have cleaning stuff/rags/kitchen towel ready for the mess it makes.
Very good!
I have used this product before and I guarantee it does exactly what it says on the tin.Suggested for interior use but I have used it for exterior use as well, for years now and so far so good.I suggest purchasing one or more tubes (extra!!) to be sure to complete the project.Unfortunately here in Quebec CA, I believe it is not available, and I am forced to buy online which is disproportionately expensive.
works well
Had a couple of hollow tiles. Drilled more holes than directed but it worked well. No more knocking when walking and hopefully no tiles popping.
Genial
Tenía dos opciones. Paleta y arrancar baldosas o esto. Me ha funcionado muy bien siguiendo las instrucciones dé video.
Achtung, aufschneiden nicht vergessen!
Erinnert sehr stark an PVAC Kleber, vulgo Weißleim.
Gjorde jobbet!
Inget trams och inget fusk. Gjorde jobbet mycket bra. Imponerande!
