I bought this to contain a decorative cake to present to someone. They were thrilled to receive it and even happier with the container than the cake itself. I now have more and use them regularly for all sorts of purposes, including trifles and other desserts, punch, Pimms, chilled soups, salad, dips, crudites, crisps and small buffet items. It's even useful for non-food items such as separating colours of beads, sequins and other craft materials. Lots of people have commented on how beautiful the container looks, especially when more than one is displayed at a time, for instance with different cakes in. They do appear to be made of glass but are of course made of cheaper, lighter, less breakable man-made material and very easy to clean. if I were to look for one gripe I could only say that I would like to be able to purchase it in other sizes too, especially a bigger one for larger, celebration cakes. Overall this is a great quality, extremely useful item that looks a lot more expensive than it is making it fabulous value for money.

This s such good value for money , it’s 3 items in 1. Cake stand , and cover . The bottom tray is sectioned for dips or nuts . Light weight I love it , it’s so versatile . Looks so stylish on a dining table .

I have had one of these acrylic cake stands for over 15 years and they are so handy I bought another one for this summer's garden BBQ's to cover both my desert and cake. What I like about these cake stands is that they are easy to clean, lovely to look at, light and easy to store in original box, they are also multi functional, you can use them as a punch bowl, a cake stand with dome cover, or turn them up the other way and use the base as a sectioned nut or pickle dish with centre dish for a dip, and you can use the dome cover to cover cheese! I know the glass cake stands are also popular but where do you store them? and they only have one use, I am glad I changed over to this type of cake stand years ago because it does more than cover cakes. its so versatile This one came well packaged, and arrived fast and without damage, and since I purchased my last one all those years ago this product has remained at a low purchase price, I don't think an alternative could beat it. That's why I now have two of them and because they are so light weight I can store them on top of my kitchen cupboard in their boxes. I give all round 5* for great product and fast delivery. Buy without hesitation you won't be disappointed.

What a great 'invention'! Multi purpose and a decent size, what's not to like? I purchased it primarily to use as a covered cake stand for those times of indulgence or birthdays with bigger cakes. I didn't need an expensive glass one so this sturdy, smart, acrylic version was ideal. I perhaps wouldn't leave a cake too long under the cover as I'm not convinced its airtight, but then how long is cake left standing around anyway ;) I like the idea of using it as a dip and dippables server too, though the separation segment bars are quite low. Haven't turned the lid upsde down yet to use as a trifle, salad or punch bowl but again how nifty! This really is a great multi purpose item. I don't keep it out all the time, but its easy to take apart (3 pieces) and store in the plastic bags or box it comes with... and on that note the box is nice enough if you were giving the stand as a gift. In all I'd certainly recommend. The sole reason I've knocked a star off is mine had a slight crack in the middle of the base, but not enough to warrent a return or complaint or to affect the usage.

A lovely addition to my kitchen. Washes up lovely and is a super size for perhaps 2 banana loaves or a load of cupcakes. Keeps everything fresh and inviting looking, I just add a pretty serviette and some delicious bakes and there is always something for a cup of tea to hand!
