This is a great piece of kit. Whilst it’s a toy it’s really well built. Super robust and it looks the part. Out little guy loves it - especially picking up his sisters Barbies! Only downside (like other top race products we have)….battery life. If you buy this then get a higher capacity battery to save the tears after it runs out after 15 mins. Key thing: make sure you take note of the battery cable connector as they differ between top race vehicles.

This excavator provides tons of fun, has been using it for the last 4 years and it is a trully amazing toy. I bought better battery [2800mAh] so it lasts 1 hour. On the top of that Hobbit Village is the seller that I personally never have encountered. Service provided, the communication and kindness is simply out of this world! After using this toy with a grapple fork I asked them could I also buy the normal excavator scoop and to my biggest surprise they offered it to me for free and even paid for it's delivery. Sadly this item has been lost by Royal Mail but nonetheless it gave me soo much happiness and only proved this sellers kindness. Fully recommend this seller, they will go above all expectations to make you a happy customer! Fully deserved 5 stars!

I bought the Top Race Digger Excavator with Grapple fork TR-215 and the Top Race Construction Dump Truck TR-212. These are both well constructed and fairly tough toys. The 400mAh 7.2v battery supplied is perfectly adequate for some serious play time. I did have a problem with the USB charger for the digger which although the light continued flashing, stopped charging completely. I phoned Top Race and the man asked me to email a copy of the invoice to them. I did this, with a description of the problem and he posted a replacement USB charger and battery immediately. It arrived two days later and works perfectly. Impressive service from the company. Now thinking about getting the Bulldozer and Crane!

I am a mid 30s father and having the time of my life operating this machine to pick up random stuff that my 3 kids throw around or feed directly in through the grabs. They are too small yet to operate the RC but big enough to enjoy seeing this thing going around making noises and treating it nearly like a pet!Battery life is not outstanding, if I exclude the sound that gets me an extra 5 min of uninterrupted play but we are still talking well below the hour mark.All in all, very please with the product and intending to buy more from the same line...Bravo Toprace!

Remote control very flimsy and poor quality for the price of this product. The digger itself after 5 uses has now broken and the main arm will not lift or lower properly. Trying to get in contact for a replacement/repair but so far impossible to get in touch with the seller about this. Update: had contact with the seller but no solution offered. Clearly a faulty item and only 6 months old. Very expensive for the quality and customer service.

Well made unit, the battery charger was faulty but I sorted it myself. I would suggest buying a spare battery as the one that comes with it is only 400mA and they appear to be the size of 5 AAs. I bought a second battery 2400mA from Bolo complete with charger this gives plenty of run time till you get bored.The machine is quite sturdy and can lift around 240g anything heavier and it tips over, the jaws are strong and grip most things.The remote takes a little getting used to but once you remember what does what it is easy.It has demo button and makes the machine go through a sequence on its own, I like the squeaking noise it makes when travelling - just like the real thing!The engine noise can be turned off.It should have a flashing light on top of the cab instead of inside.When switching on the machine and remote control an acknowledgement tone is heard to confirm units have paired.

Works really well for the price, however you need to purchase a seperate battery with a higher amp hour battery. Comes with 400 amp hour battery which lasted about 20 mins (aas stated in small print). Purchased a 2400 amp hour battery which latest an hour. Why they cant sell it higher amp hour battery?!

I purchased this for my son to replace a Bruder excavator that kept breaking due to a weakness within the design on the arm, and he absolutely loves this! The battery seems to last for as long as we need, and charging it up is very easy with the included USB cable. The control scheme was a bit fiddly to get to grips with at the start, but even though he's four years old, he can use it with ease now. The arm itself opens wide enough to pick up wooden blocks and other items that my son likes to dig up, and the caterpillar track movement action is perfect, allowing him to drive it across to his dumper truck to then drop the blocks in. When I've had a go (which is always loads of fun) I've even driven the excavator across multiple items on the floor, including a cushion and when it topples over perfectly onto the tracks, it can be rather satisfying! I've even used the arm to pull it along the floor and over certain objects. All in all, this is a great product that's well worth the price!

Ottimo prodotto. È robusto e composto con materiali molto resistenti. È molto tecnologico... col telecomando si riesce a gestire separatamente ogni pezzo (ruote, cabina, pale, altezza braccio...)... È come quello vero ma in miniatura! Consigliato!

Der Bagger ist toll. Er hat richtig Kraft. Das Spielen macht daher immer wieder Spaß.Es ist kein Spielzeug, was nach kurzer Zeit in der Ecke liegt.Da unser Gerät irgendwann eine Fehlfunktion einer Raupe hatte, die sich nur noch in eine Richtung bewegen ließ,kontaktierte ich den Verkäufer Hobbit Village. Mitarbeiterin Rebecca organisierte sehr schnell kostenlosen Ersatz.Klasse Service !!! Neuer Bagger funktioniert tadellos.
The arm did not work, had to send for replacement same day it arrived
This excavator is really nice, heavy machine, metal grapple, solid construction. BUT, the arm did not work out of the box.The battery needs to be able to last longer. I will be looking for an additional higher capacity battery.The sounds are realistic and you can turn them off if you don’t want the sound effects. When sounds are off the machine is very quite.EDIT 4/7/2022The arm started working right before I boxed it for a return, so it never went back and has worked except for twice since then. Everything thing else is still great. I have not found a second battery but if you are using it like a real excavator and are stationary most of the time the battery will last a long time. If you drive it around or long distance that seems to use more battery then just loading stuff. Overall it’s a great toy and we still play with it. Get it and you will have fun.More update. Arm needed to be taking apart and wire plugged in or soldered can’t remember but is still working great. 1/23would like to find a battery with more life or a second battery. If you walk the machine a lot it will use up the battery. If you use just the arm and swing then it last forever.
