This arrived 14 hours after i ordered it, super fast, the idea was to do an oil change on a 2006 Mercedes C180 and after years of clambering under other cars searching for oil filters and having hot oil pouring everywhere i was advised this model of car has a filter housed on top of the engine, also the oil can be extracted from the dipstick tube .......... YOU WHAT !!!A little sceptical i ordered this and proceeded to self service my car, the smaller tube fit in the dipstck tube, the container sat on the engine and i easily removed 5 litres of hot oil in around 15 minutes , emptying the container after the first 4 litres and i must say this usually tedious job was easy and strangely fun , in total 30 minutes of my time and a job well done.The quality is a little cheap maybe, but i wont use this again for 12 months and it worked perfectly , i believe the car had approx 5 litres in it and this was what came out so maybe a few dregs were left but essentially it was as described.

I bought one of those battery powered electric drainers for extracting the oil out of my car which (literally!) blew up within 10 seconds. Didn't fancy sparks and flame near petrol ever again so I got this. It works fine and got very nearly all of the oil out. Things to note are that it takes quite a while to do as the oil tube is narrow gauge to fit down the dipstick hole and that it effectively only holds 3 litres max, so you have to empty it half way through. Also, as everyone is saying, the suction tube is far too wide for most cars, not even close. Fortunately, I had the one from the exploding version which fitted fine, otherwise you'd have to get something from Halfrauds (not a typo!) or somewhere. Worth getting if you've got the time and strength and want to be sure that the jobs been done properly, and with the right oil.

I used this to drain a sump on my car rather than unscrewing the drain plug. It worked absolutely fine, a little slow but to be expected. I will use to transfer petrol to and from the lawnmower in the future.Make sure you keep it screwed up tightly to get a good seal, the smaller pipe fitted in the dipstick channel on my Dacia and it pulled the oil out without issue.Cheap, robust and it does what it says it will do. What's not to like?

Genuinely a great product for the money. I feel anyone who has had a bad experience with one of these may have got unlucky with faulty parts or just simply didn't use it properly. I had no problems at all with mine, it sucked 7.5 litres of oil out of my Merc in about 20 minutes. I had to stand with the vehicle and pump for most of the time but it did the job and managed to get more out than I normally would through draining the sump. Don't listen to the bad reviews and spend extra money to try and make life easier. Spend 15/16 quid and pump your oil out. Jobs a goodun!

I overfilled my campervan with oil wanted to drain it in situ but having little knowledge knew I was not going to crawl underneath, So ordered this, it worked a treat easy to use with simple instructions even for a novice like me. Job ✅

It works, but it’s painfully slow!! Got it to make servicing mowers easier for me instead of using a syringe but it takes 10 times longer, so even though it’s less effort, because it takes so long and you have to pump it soo much more it’s actually more effort in the long run. So for me with oil it’s now sat on a shelf until I find another purpose for it

wanting to do a quick oil change on a car its a great product, mean your not needing to get under and take the sump plug off, tube feeds down through the dipstick hole and then the vacuum pump syphons the oil out,I wanted this for a kia picanto and found the tube(s) supplied were both too big to fit so had to make a new one, once id fangled that it was great and drained the oil quickly with no mess,The container is made out of a decent quality of plastic so is sturdy, and the pump seems to be good as wellfor the price its a really good product

Couldn't extract engine oil off my hyundai... So it was a waste of money. Can't see where else I'll be able to use it.However, It does work how it's supposed to with the suction and its easy to use too.But it apparently doesn't work for all cars.
Buen producto pero con matices importantes
Esta especie de botijo es muy útil, muy limpio, muy robusto, con un poder de succión muy bueno, pero tiene algunos matices.Lo primero de es que para la mayoría de los orificios para la varilla de motor con el ancho de la manguera que trae de serie no va a valer, necesitas ir a una ferretería y comprar una manguera de 6 milímetros para acoplarla en la de 8mm Otro detalle propio del botijo es que la temperatura del aceite de motor no debe de ser muy alta porque si no podría llegar a derretir los tubos de succión, eso hace que el aceite esté más denso de lo normal, aún así yo lo que hice fue dejar que aguja de temperatura se quedará a la mitad, es decir, en mi coche se pone a 90° pues yo ya a 45 apagé el motor. Y el último detalle y más importante es que tienes que tener en cuenta que puede que tu motor no extraiga todo el aceite por eso deberías de saber cuánto aceite caben tu motor para saber si extrae suficiente aceite. En mi caso es un seat león II 2.0 tdi qué tiene de libro 4,6 litros quitando el filtro y 4,3 litros sin quitar el filtro. Solo pudo succionar 3 litros. No está mal pero no es suficiente. Si aún así te cuadra la verdad es que no se tarda tanto como la gente dice, en menos de diez minutos ya había succionado los tres litros y tampoco es tan costoso por qué darle a la bomba es darle de vez en cuando, no hay que estar todo el tiempo dándole a la bomba, solo al principio. La calidad de construcción es exelente, el botijo no pierden nada de aceite por ninguno de los orificios cuando los tapones están puestos, es muy limpio y muy cómodo y también es muy fácil de limpiar en caso de que quieras limpiar el interior. En conclusión yo le doy cinco estrellas por la calidad, por la función y por cómo es, obviamente a mí no me válido pero puede que en tu caso si te valga.
Fonctionne comme prévu
Je l'ai utilisé pour vidanger le moteur de ma voiture. J'ai choisi ce modèle car il était livré avec deux tuyaux de diamètre différents. Et j'ai bien fait car le plus fin rentre parfaitement dans le tuyaux de la jauge et descend jusqu'au fond du carter. Je pense que je suis parvenu à extraire toute l'huile (à quelques centilitres près). Il faut bien faire attention à l'étanchéité de l'appareil, et si c'est bien étanche et que vous positionnez le réservoir plus bas que le niveau du carter, en trois coups de pompe l'huile commence à couler et continue par effet de siphon.
