5.0 out of 5 stars Save your neck and get this!!!
I use this nearly all the time. It is very easily adjustable and is able to raise my laptop by a foot! There are many adjust points so you can use it for the height you need. The build is really very good: joints are sturdy and the polymer used is stiff: I can type on the laptop if needed and there is no shake. OK, you would not do this as the keyboard will slope when the laptop is on the stand, but, hey, it's possible! The stand is compact when folded and will easily stow away in a backpack. Also, the stand is relatively unobtrusive in use: it does not occupy much more table space than the laptop itself, and is visually light too. It's made working on my laptop a pleasure again, and no neck pain this time!
5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy to use and transport
I was recommended this by a colleague, and I’m glad I bought it. It’s slim and compact when not in use, and comes with a cover which can be pulled closed at the top. It’s easy to expand to use, and collapse when you’re finished with it. I would definitely recommend it.
4.0 out of 5 stars it's not really easy to type
It works very well. It comes with a little soft carry case, which fits perfectly in my 15" laptop case. The height is adjustable. The laptop is held securely, and keeps it in a position that is more ergonomically correct, so you don't have to constantly look down, which can lead to headaches and a sore neck. You will need a keyboard and mouse though, as when you have the laptop in the stand, it's not really easy to type. The one downside of the stand is that it is not easy to collapse it, to put it away - I keep getting the skin on my fingers / hands trapped when I collapse it, which really hurts. Other than that, it is a great stand, works well, is lightweight and stable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Value, well made
I recently purchased the APzek foldable stand which in all but name is the same as the much praised Roost. The former is £15, the latter £70. I have done a detailed review of it on Bolo. -The only small criticism I had on that otherwise phenomenal product was that the minimum height is around 22cm. It's not possible to lower it further. So here are my views on the Nexstand. Please see the photos for comparison.Build quality is good and the stand opens and closes effortlessly. It doesnt quite feel as solid as the APzek but I have no complaints about fit and finish. The Nexstand is slightly larger and perhaps 40 to 50 gramms heavier, not a huge margin but it may or may not make the difference between fitting in your bag or not. Check measurements. While the APzek has softer rubber protection on the clamps and front feet, the Nextand has what feels like soft plastic on the front feet and clamps. - The result is the Nexstand may slide more on smooth surfaces and the clamp may be slightly harder on the laptop. However, after using it no marks were left on my 15" 2019 XPS. - Still, worth bearing in mind longer term and I probably would advise to buy some self adhesive rubber tape to add a bit of protection and slip resistance. The Nexstand will adjust lower than the APzek (see photos) if that is important to you. It also has more levels between lowest and highest. The APzek has three, which I feel are perfectly adequate, minimum height aside.Clamp size is slightly larger on the Nexstand so if you have something like a gamers machine, that's probably the one to get. It comes with inserts (hard plasic) for very slim ultrabooks though I probably would'nt use those without adding some rubber protection//tape if you use an expensive machine. The bag it comes in a softer nylon sock style, the APzek's is more of a tent material. Both will do the job.So, which one to choose? As both are clearly made for travelling, my vote would probably go to the APzek. Essentially you are getting the Roost stand for £50 less (but in fairness I think £70 for that product is somewhat over priced) - It's slightly smaller and lighter and a smidgen sturdier though the Nexstand is by no means badly constructed. The APzek has better rubber parts compared with the more plastic ones on the Nexstand. Both probably benefit from a little added protection. The APzek is also a little cheaper though neither is expensive for what you get.If you have an unusually large (thick) laptop my choice would be the Nexstand. It also goes lower than the APzek so that is a consideration too. Both highly recommended.Hope this helps.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent- sleek, good matiral, sturdy and folded into a very compact unit. Quality feel.
Excellent stand if you want your laptop to eye level. It’s not as high as an office set up but severely reduces sciatica for this reason for home. It’s perfect for a 13-14 inch laptop, but it could handle a 15 I’m sure, 17, not so sure. The material is good plastic, but not indestructible, it feels like quality, and when the laptop is on there it’s sturdy and doesn’t sway or flop, even if the table rocks, if you move the screen it won’t sway, it will stay sturdy. It’s folds to the perfect size for a laptop bag for a 15 inch laptop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - great product, great price - am delighted.
I realised recently that I was developing some curvature of my spine from too much time looking down at a laptop - basically the beginnings of a dowager's hump - scary. I saw a chiropractor who recommended raising the height of my Chromebook and I saw this product and thought I'd give it a try. It arrived in really good condition (although please, please stop using the plastic film coating for the box! There really is no need for this) and it was super-easy to set up even without any instructions (although these are supplied). It works brilliantly on my Toshiba Chromebook and for anything within the measurements listed. It is such a simple but ridiculously effective product and I'm already feeling the benefits in terms of my neck position while I type. It instantly gives me the writing position I had with a PC. It also has a nice little travel case which I'll be using on my many trips. Cannot praise this enough - simple, cost effective, stylish and does exactly what it's designed to do. Thanks.
5.0 out of 5 stars Portable and light weight
Love this! Great to use both at home and when commuting to the office. Unexpands to a small, light weight strip which easily portable. Comes with a resuable light weight bag.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not as tall as the description says
The product is sturdy, light, folds down small, and comfortably holds my 13" MacBook. However, my disappointment is the only reason I bought this product over the XSMNER portable laptop stand (which is £10 cheaper with a better rating), is that in the pictures for the Nextstand, they show it going up to 32cm (compared to 25cm in the description for the XSMNER).This is inaccurate. The stand raises to 26cm (with the bottom of my MacBook screen sitting 28cm above the desk; see picture).Had I known that, I would have bought the XSMNER.
Sturdy, practical, and economical...
Ergonomics are paramount in my line of work and this laptop stand, with its seven height adjustments is a perfect complement to the workspace. It’s compact and easy to set up however because there is no hydraulic system it is definitely much easier to adjust down than it is up. But once you have it set to the height you prefer I don’t anticipate it moving too much unless you are on the go a lot in which case the portability is great. One small knock I have with this type of stand, and this goes with its competitor The roost as well is that base aligns if not protrudes out a bit at the front edge of the laptop, this isn’t the case with C-type stands or adjustable Z type stands. I can often push my external keyboard under the laptop stand creating table space for me to write on, this is not the case with this type of stand.Pros:☺ Lightweight & portable☺ Value. At a third of the cost of its competitor, it was a no-brainer.Cons:☹ Feet protrude about an inch in the front edge of the laptopOverall: This is an excellent ergonomic option for a laptop stand. Highly Recommended
Excelente opción para trabajar con portátiles
Me encantó! Es muy fácil de montar, desmontar y ajustar. Le transporto fácilmente de home office al trabajo. Ayuda mucho a mantener buena postura! Importante, yo la utilizo con un teclado externo, de otra forma no funcionaría.
Perfect
Light and stable and good quality.
To eye-level, and beyond..!
I don't even have to have this stand quite at maximum to bring the top of the screen up to eye-level, where it ergonomically ought to be.NO! Don't try typing on it! Not that it's not sturdy enough, it's just not the right way to use it. You do need a separate keyboard and mouse; but it's easier to carry them around than a spare height-adjustable monitor!!
Absolut praktischer Helfer
