Time will tell. My last Weber cover was a stiff black plastic affair which sat through a dozen winters without complaint. The summer UV got to it though and it got brittle so I bought this. This is thin, like a summer waterproof jacket. I think it keeps the rain off - actually the bbq is usually wet and I think really it just keeps bird droppings etc off - but the wind will shred it in the winter, probably. I hope I'm proved wrong - I went with Weber brand expecting quality, not just a logo.

After leaving my Weber out in the rain for the last few months, I thought it was worth an investment for a all-weather cover to protect it longer term.This perfectly fits my 57cm Weber without issue and there is 1x velcro strap on the bottom corner so you can secure it. The issue with this though is it creates a wind trap and constantly flaps around in the breeze - luckily the Weber is not close to my house/windows for me to be bothered - but in a smaller garden you might be.Don't know why Weber only included a Velcro strap on one side; I would have preferred it on both if not all legs.For close to £40 - I can't help think that this is extremely overprice for what effectively a £5 tarp would do the same job.

I recently picked up the Weber 22 Inch Charcoal Kettle Grill Cover, and I’m really impressed with it! This cover fits my kettle grill perfectly and provides excellent protection.What I love most is how well it keeps the grill dry, no matter what the weather throws at it. Whether it’s pouring rain or even snow, my grill stays completely protected. Irritiert las ich die teils doch recht negativen Bewertungen zu dieser Abdeckplane. Vorab: ich stelle den Grill, einen Weber Multitouch 5770, 57 cm, bei längerer Nichtbenutzung in die Garage, wo er auch ohne Abdeckung hervorragend geschützt ist.Aber im Sommer werde ich ihn wie den Vorgängergrill doch mal ein paar Tage im Freien stehen lassen (Grillplatz und Garagenstellplatz sind 100 Meter und 1 Treppe voneinander entfernt, etwas mühsam, den Grill da jedesmal hin und her zu verfrachten).Und da will ich ihn mit dieser Folie gegen die Witterung schützen.Das wird sie sicher gut erledigen! Sie ist absolut nicht zu dünn und zumindest in meinen Augen wertig. Passt gut ohne zuviel Spiel über den Grill. Das hat zur Folge, daß man sie nach meiner Meinung gar nicht mit dem an der Plane befindlichen Fixierband am Grill anbinden muß, weil sie bereits so windsogsicher auf dem Grill sitzt.Das Thema "UV-Beständigkeit", einer der Hauptgründe, warum derartige Plastikplanen mit der Zeit kaputt gehen, kann ich noch nicht beurteilen, da ich Plane und Grill erst vor Kurzem erworben habe. Abschließend kann ich nur schreiben, daß ICH diese Abdeckung gut finde. Weber bietet eine weitere, schwarze, Abdeckplane für meinen Grill an, die mir aber mit ca. 50 Euro Kosten viel zu teuer und materialmäßig vermutlich auch nicht besser ist.
