    It's a very thin cable. It looks like the crimp on the looped end could be defeated by melting the wire's plastic sheathing with a lighter.Will deter a chancer, anyone determined will get past this lock in seconds. But that is probably true of all locks of this type.

    I've ordered a new slimline laptop so this mini Kensington lock will be perfect. I'm still waiting for my GS65 so I will come back and add more when it arrives.

    Kensington renowned for quality have produced a real quality lock. Premium build quality and very strong. I love the velcro tie with the branding printed on it and the swivel head that makes fitting a breeze. The keys are a unique design and shape that would be hard to replicate. However Locking/unlocking does require nimble fingers. Much smaller loop than the one it is replacing providing a more discrete appearance. Furniture is protected by the insulated cable that is hardened to resist cutting. The lock comes with a lifetime guarantee. Worth paying a little extra for?

    I work in IT so I actually have several laptops that I use regularly, depending on what I'm doing. I've got a Toshiba Portage ultrabook and it works perfectly with this. I've got a more modern Lenovo laptop and I cannot get the lock to attach no matter what I do, similarly with a Microsoft Surface 2 laptop. The Toshiba one is my main works laptop so i take it with me when I travel around the country for work, this lock comes in handy for leaving a laptop in a hotel room in the evening, easy to attach to a table in the room.It's a shame it doesn't appear to work in all laptops, I'd check the Kensington web site for details before buying and PLEASE remember that this cannot guarantee that your computer will not be stolen, it just makes it a bit harder.

    Kensington have a long-established reputation for all matters to do with PC peripherals, stands, security and accessories.This is a well made security cable., which locks securely and is strong enough to withstand significant brute force or cutting attacks. Recommended and good value for money. It comes with two security keys (unpickable) and is pry resistant. The t-bar also fits a screen, making both theft of desktop unit / laptop and separate screen very difficult.

    I bought this in the same time with my alienware but the laptop delivery was delayed so can't return it. Is too thick for alienware area 51m even if on site says is compatible. The quality looks ok but since I can't return, will leave 1* for incompatibility.
