These sweets are a favourite of an elderly friend (94 years) and were intended to be included in a gift to her.The package arrived very squashed and out of shape. This could have been result of outer Bolo packaging which was inadequate, or perhaps affected by the efforts of the delivery person pushing through the letter box.The sweets were not damaged; I ate them and enjoyed them, then went to a shop to buy a replacement product.

Item arrived on time but, as so many other reviewers have noted (and the seller has apparently ignored) the packaging (a simple cardboard envelope without ANY padding) was inadequate to the task of protecting the box of jellies inside during transit - it was irreparably squished.However, the box being more or less destroyed did provide one benefit - I had been expecting such expensive fruit jellies to be presented in some sort of tray, similar to those used in a box of chocolates. No such luck. Thanks to the gaps created in the disappointingly small box courtesy of the inadequate packaging, it was evident that, rather than each jelly being lovingly placed in a space crafted just for that flavour jelly alone, a random selection of jellies had been dropped into a plastic bag, sealed in and finally (I suspect) the disappointingly small box had been crafted around the bag.As to flavour (yes, reader, we ventured to eat them - they were in no condition to be gifted or presented to visitors over Christmas as had been the original plan) they were tangy but didn't especially represent any of the flavours of the fruit each depicted.Texture-wise they leaned rather more toward being gummies than jellies. Not that I don't like gummy sweets. Just, if I'd wanted gummy sweets, I'd have ordered gummy sweets. Just like if I'd wanted my sweets to arrive in a squashed, inadequately sized, box, I'd have entered those specifications in the search criteria box...Lesson Learned: If you're not prepared to sell a kidney to buy York Fruits, fruit jellies to impress the neighbours over Crimbo, swallow your pride and stick with the (relatively) cheap & cheerful High Street favourites you know.
