Very happy with the sound from these speakers paired with my turntable. Just slight issue with the one time password for delivery not being sent on time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Impressive.
I got so fed up with speaker cable trailing across floors and getting tangled up in other sundry cables that I decided to get a pair of BT speakers. I already own an Edifier C2X multimedia system and have been really impressed by it so I decided to look at their range first. When I saw these and the reviews I just went for it. I have not been disappointed. The speakers are just a bit shorter and squatter than a shoe box. They feel substantial and of good quality. Everything you need to get up and running is in the box and the manual is well laid out and easy to follow. You don't need a great deal of technical knowledge to connect them to your device. Talking of connections you have a number of options depending upon your needs. I wanted them for their BT capability but you can also connect them by optical, coaxial or RCA cables.Getting them set up was fairly straightforward; my PC and the speakers paired within seconds. The only minor issue I encountered was forgetting to go into my PC sound settings and changing the output device to, "Speakers (EDIFIER R1280B Stereo). As soon as I did that they burst into life. So far the BT connection has been very consistent with no problems at all. The remote is very small and light; almost insignificant in a way but it works just fine. I imagine it could get lost quite easily. So far as the sound is concerned they are really very impressive for their size. I positioned my speakers in a fairly large room with a high ceiling. They fill the room with sound so don't be too worried about them not being up to the job. They sound beautifully crisp and clear; almost pure, in fact. The first piece of music I chose to play through them was Bayreuth Return from Klaus Schulze's album Timewind from 1975. If you don't know it, it's a fairly typical 1970s German electronica album. Well, I was really impressed. I heard things in the music I hadn't heard before. There is a lovely balance across the range - they don't sound harsh or boomy in any way.Overall, they are just perfect for my needs and I heartily recommend them
5.0 out of 5 stars Great small speakers
Use these as Bluetooth speakers connected to Echo Dot. These sound nice with good bass. Didn’t need overly loud volume as used in conservatory. Responds well to remote control. Only minor complaint would be the length of the cable to 2nd speaker is a little short, I replaced this to allow for 8 feet between speakers.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful little boxes of magic.
Bought these to pair with a Sony turntable, just left a review for that.Daunting. Lots of cables. Haven't read the booklet properly yet...There's a cable I don't recognise as Earth made at all!Chose the Bluetooth mode, plugged them in, and turned it on.....Instant connection. The sound is wonderful, rich and clear and you can control the bass and treble.I'm 64...These are the best speakers I've ever bought.Thank you Edifier.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great sounding Bluetooth speakers
Update: now linked to my TV and YouTube. Watched Michael Jackson live at the Super Bowl in 1993 and the sound was phenomenal- it sounded like we were in the stadium! Well done Edifier!I bought these to connect to my Sony Bluetooth turntable to avoid wires running everywhere. What a find these are! For my ears (I’m no audiophile) they sound great. The Bluetooth connected immediately to my turntable and my iPhone without any issues. There are no drop-outs, lags when playing YouTube videos on my iPhone and it sound great. The only downside I can find is they’re not quite loud enough on Bluetooth. It may be possible that using the hard wired options of the RCA inputs from my turntable may achieve higher volume levels but I bought it to avoid wires so will continue with the Bluetooth. Also the remote is a little flimsy - the kind that comes with throw-away Christmas lights at £3.99 a set but it works ok.Edifier have created a great product here. I can see myself buying a higher spec set with sub in the near future after these have turned out to be a real find.
