I cook a Sunday lunch every week and I already have a large slow cooker. However, since my daughters have got their own houses I only cook a small joint for my wife and myself. My large slow cooker is too large and requires a lot of water to heat up. Also, I use the water for making gravy afterwards and it seemed a waste when I only used a small fraction of it.After reading reviews on various makes of small slow cookers I decided on this crockpot one because it is an ideal size for two people, has a two year guarantee, the pot is dishwasher safe (although I always wash it by hand anyway!) and its price is competitive. The glass lid fits well and although it has a small vent hole it still cooks well. I found the cooker to be stable and the lead sufficiently long. Unlike my large slow cooker, this one does not cause the worktop underneath to get hot. There is still plenty of liquid left to make gravy but it is more concentrated and there is less waste.I've used it twice now to cook 500g topside joints. The results were very impressive, in fact I think I cooked them for rather too long especially the second time where it was difficult to slice the joint because it was so tender it tended to fall apart rather than slice. I cooked it for 5 hours on 'low' and then switched the cooker to 'warm' for about one and a half hours. I'll cook a joint for less time (maybe 3 - 4 hours) in future and leave it to stand for an hour.I'm very pleased with the slow cooker, it is well made, reasonably priced and cooks superbly. The only negative is, as others have said, it doesn't have a light to indicate it is on but the other features outweigh this so I can live without it. I particularly like that it has a 'keep warm' setting. I presume this is a lower setting than the 'low' one.I'm very happy to recommend this slow cooker.

Really easy to use since it only has 3 options: Low, High and Keep warm. Solid Ceramic pot, quite heavy so could be seen as durable.Useful when making a big batch of food since it is a really good size. I usually make around 10-12 portions of food in this.Downside is that it is quite hard to clean. Heavy pot which is both good and bad; easy for food to stick into the side and hard to take off.

I got this slow cooker to use in my campervan recently. I found it was big enough to make a meal in for 2 people and on HI it used100watts and cooked a chicken casserole in 4 hours. It was easy to clean and compact so didn’t take up too much space.

I have used this new 5 times and it's fabulous. The fact it doesn't have an on light hasn't bothered me at all. It slow cooks perfectly and I'm over the moon! Reasonable price and does exactly what you would expect! My parents now have one too! Easy to clean, Easy to use! The only thing i would say in a small negative is the lid.. could do with being a snugger fit, but.. it hasn't effected the way the food turn out!

Great little crockpot
This is a great little crock pot. Pictured here next to my very old but still in use 6 qt crock pot. Perfect for Friday night cholent. Best part is that it shipped to Israel in less than 2 weeks! The voltage is appropriate for Israel but plug is a European one so it can't be used in Israel out of the box. Luckily I am married to a man who knows how to do STUFF and he just switched the head of the plug for an Israeli one. Works beautifully and easy to clean. I'm really happy with this purchase.
