Awesome Sanity-Saving Product
This may be the best 8 bucks I’ve spent as a new mom. After using the hospital grade Medela pump for a month, I was so disappointed when I switched to my Spectra because I had three pumping bras I wasn’t going to be able to use anymore and tons of bottles that fit my Medela pump and not the Spectra. This one tiny little product saved me from having to buy all new parts and bottles. I almost thought they didn’t work when I tried them for the first time because I was getting basically zero suction, but then I realized I didn’t have both of the holes covered on my Spectra so it was just user error... oops. Thank you Maymom for saving a little bit of my sanity!
Great as long as you don’t need to take them off
I bought these so that I could use the Medela Pump parts that I got at the hospital with my spectra pump I got for home. I don’t notice a difference in suction strength at all when I am using them which is great! My only complaint is that it’s impossible to get them off once they’re on. Right now it isn’t a big deal because I have no need to use Medela parts with a Medela Pump but if I ever do, I’ll have to get new parts. I’ve tries everything to get them off. Otherwise they’re a great product and I definitely recommend them!
Do you use multiple pump brands? Make life easier.
I have a Spectra pump for home and travel, but access to hospital grade Medela pumps at a couple of my work sites. I was really annoyed that nothing was compatible, meaning I had to store snd clean more stuff. This part means I can use my Medela-compatible flange and shields with standard sizes bottles, cutting down on the extras I have to store or think about packing each day.Heads up, the wide mouth Spectra bottles are better balanced for their membranes. When using this adapter to connect lighter-weight Medela shields and bottles, the balance is thrown off. Don't lose your milk to spills!
Extremely helpful- Medela parts to Spectra S2 pump
Great product! I have been using the Medela PISA and have a few sets of parts so when I got my Spectra S2 I did not want to worry about buying all new parts. I tried the little hack they have to go from Medela to Spectra but that didn't go so well -.- found this adapter made my Maymom and it worked perfectly! Great price and arrived quickly :)
Great for using Medela parts with Spectra 9 pump!
Great adapter! While the cost was a little steep for a couple of small pieces of plastic, it is much more efficient and thrifty to purchase this adapter so I can use my sets of Medela parts (I literally have 6 sets of Medela PISA parts) with my Spectra 9 versus buying all new parts for my travel pump. I would buy these again, and the beauty is that I only need one set to attach to the tubes to use all 6 sets of Medela parts!
