I live in an area of very hard water which causes skin irritation. I looked at several devices to deal with this and settled for Phillips' version.It seems to be working with noticeable reduction in skin irritation.It is solidly made and is straightforward to use install and use (just turn on the shower as usual). It is very presentable and looks efficient.But ... To install it has to be opened and this not easy. It was hard work to separate the top from the bottom to access the filter inside. I avoided using tools to avoid scratching the filter. Anyone with poor grip will struggle and may need help. Once opened the renewable filter itself must be removed. I had to resort to the careful use of a pair of pliers.Once done it was comparatively easy to reassemble and install. I am not looking forward to replacing the internal filter.

1.0 out of 5 stars This didint make a slight bit of difference to my water quality
Simply doesnt change a thing!I Have installed this on my shower and tested this using both a Water Testing strip and an Electronic Water Quality test. When compared against the water coming out of my bath taps i get the same colour on the test strip and practically the same results on the electronic test. The water hardness is simply the same with or without this installed, along with the the PH, Alkalinity and chlorine being same. Yes i have installed as per instructions. Thing is, if you really think about this how would it at all be possible for such a device to actually work, the water flies thorugh the filter so quickly you have to think how could it possibly do anything about the quality of the water? This might work for some but it simply hasn't done anything for my water. One thing i do have to say though is that this item was a breeze to install, no problem at all in getting it undone.

I initially had difficulty in opening the filter. But if you put this warm water for a minute, it will open very easily.

Easy to fit,looks nice-its PLASTIC with Stainless Steel finish!!First time opening was dificult-requied more power (I was afraid 8t may fail-probly coating finish on plastic case it),next ones was easy.I have checked quality of water using TDS-3 and results are weird:Cold,hot and mixed seems higher with filter than without it!?(More particals =worse quality of water)Not sure whats going on-I tried to contact customer support before this review.Unfortunately no way to contact them on Bolo.There is couple resolutions for different scenarios-which is good and I used it to make sure all was done correctly but no improvement.Maybe after couple day will be better.Water seems better for skin and in general but tester shows otherwise.Obviously tester do not test all things adviced by filter manufacturer -but still I would expect this reading drop not increase.

I’ve been living in London for a year and a half now and this has been a lifesaver for dealing with limescale and skin/hair issues.The installation was super easy, I’ve read previous reviews saying that it was hard to open and reveal the cartridge, but luckily I had no issues with that.I’ve had mine for a while now and my hair and skin definitely feel the difference. Also a lot less limescale!

Works well. Easy to set up, just don't forget to remove the inner filter caps! To do that you need to twist the two obvious sections apart - doesn't take much force - to reveal the inner filter. At both ends on the filter there are beige caps. remove the caps, pop the filter back in, and twist the enclosure back together.

Para un cuidado mas saludable de nuestra piel.
Tengo la piel seca y me suelo duchar dos veces al día. Del cloro, la piel se me queda muy seca y me tira, llegando a picarme y a ser molesto a veces.Con el filtro se nota el agua mas suave. La sensación de sequedad ha desaparecido aunque no signifique que te quite la necesidad de usar una hidratante. También es muy importante el jabón y champú que usemos. Estoy probando jabones naturales para ayudar en el proceso.Tened en cuenta que la piel absorve el cloro, pesticidas, metales pesados... que pueden estar presentes el el agua de nuestros grifos. Simplemente por ayudar a disminuir esto, ya merece la pena instalar el filtro.Es una ayuda mas a "naturalizar" el agua de la ducha y tu vida, aunque como suele ocurrir, nunca es suficiente...Para la instalación tienes que abrir el filtro por la mitad (cuesta un poco), y retirar los tapones de plástico que tiene en la entrada y salida (hasta que no lo abras no los vas a ver). Luego lo cierras y lo enroscas en la grifería y la manguera. Quita algo de presión a la ducha pero no como para ser un problema.Si la manguera de la ducha es pequeña, te va a quedar un poco justa a la hora de colgar el difusor y se acabara rajando.En resumen, recomendable para un cuidado mas natural y saludable de nuestra piel
