This well made folding easel seems to made from beech. It is quite sturdy save for the bar across the adjustable support at the back which is a little flimsy. The wood has no finish. It benefits from a few coats of varnish to deter staining. Overall this adjustable easel, which folds flat and can be laid across your lap, is good value for money but ideally needs to be lightly sanded and varnished before use.

I love to do jigsaws, but I have arthritis in my hips and spine and can no longer bend over a table to do the jigsaw, but with this board you can set it at four different heights and it makes life so much easier, it is very basic but just what I needed.

Unfortunately the easel arrived in damaged condition with bottom rest slightly coming away from frame. It also looked like someone had ‘rubbed the surface over.’ It was returned for credit.
