5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing way to cover big areas quickly.
Sometimes it is better to buy the original / best brand so I decided to replace another problem sprayer with this one.It works well, is well made and nice to use.It suffers from the same problem of wasted paint and horrible cleanup that all sprayers suffer from. It uses about 1.0 - 1.2l of paint by the time it is primed and reaches the spray nozzle. I haven’t managed to achieve spraying with no oversray / spray dust as claimed in the blurb but maybe more fiddling with pressure / practice may help.Finish achieved is perfect; I am not new to spraying but not a pro.
5.0 out of 5 stars Saves plenty of time!
The media could not be loaded. Product is great, saves time and leaves a great finish! Bit of a faff to clean it all thoroughly but worth it.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Game-Changer for Painting Projects, but Cleanup Requires Care
The media could not be loaded. I don't see the point of writing reviews on the item being delivered - we all know how good Bolo delivery is so what's the point? You want to know how I got on with the product right? - Here goes:I got got this sprayer for a large home renovation project, and it’s been an absolute game-changer! This paint sprayer is packed with features that make it an excellent choice for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals.Impressive Coverage and EfficiencyOne of the standout features of this sprayer is its incredible coverage. It easily covered 15 m² in just 2 minutes, significantly speeding up my painting project. Whether I was working with dispersion/latex paints or varnishes and glazes, the sprayer delivered a smooth and even coat every time. The time saved alone made this purchase worth it.Adjustable Spray Pressure for PrecisionThe adjustable spray pressure is another great feature. It allowed me to fine-tune the spray to suit different surfaces and types of paint. Whether I needed a lighter touch for delicate areas or full power for large surfaces, the ControlPro 250 R handled it all with ease. The 110 bar pressure is more than enough to get the job done quickly and effectively.Long Hose for Easy ManeuverabilityThe 9-meter hose is a fantastic addition, giving me plenty of flexibility to move around without constantly repositioning the sprayer. This was especially useful when painting larger areas, as I didn’t have to worry about being tethered too close to the base unit. It’s a small detail, but it made a big difference in the overall ease of use.Durable and Well-DesignedThe build quality of the WAGNER ControlPro 250 R is top-notch. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, designed to last through many projects. The unit is also surprisingly compact for its power, making it easy to store when not in use. The design is intuitive, and setting it up was straightforward, even for someone who isn’t a professional painter.Con: Tricky CleanupThe only downside I’ve encountered is the cleanup process. It’s quite tricky and needs to be done thoroughly to maintain the quality of the spraying. If you don’t clean the equipment properly, it can affect performance in future projects. While this is a bit of a hassle, it’s a small price to pay for the overall quality and efficiency this sprayer provides.Final ThoughtsOverall, I’m extremely satisfied with the WAGNER Airless ControlPro 250 R Paint Sprayer. It delivers on its promises with impressive coverage, easy adjustability, and a long hose for added convenience. The cleanup is a bit of a chore, but it’s essential to keep the sprayer in top condition. Despite this minor inconvenience, it’s been a great investment for my renovation projects, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient paint sprayer!
5.0 out of 5 stars (ALMOST) Unbelievable results
When looking at painting the whole of our barn conversion, I looked at saving money on paying for a professional decorator to paint all internal walls. As I had so many square metres of plastered/skimmed wall to paint I decided to buy this spray gun after looking in to on-line written and video reviews. The results I've got with this spray gun are little short of spectacular. Whilst the painting is really fast, preparation of the wall and masking up windows and steel girders to protect them from the spray does take HOURS. This is not a criticism as preparation for most things is where jobs can be awful or amazing. I went over all walls with my hand to 'feel' for nibs of plaster and removed these with sandpaper and then took time to mask off window frames. I also found a few great tips and hints to get the most out of the gun, such as ensuring the cable was clear of all items to avoid snagging during spraying... and making sure spray starts and ends away from the wall (to avoid drip regions). I've had quite a few trades in and all have been really impressed with the paint job. I cant recommend this product highly enough. It does need cleaning through thoroughly after each panting session but after a few sessions you get pretty slick at emptying the paint back into the tin and as the diluted paint starts coming through, divert this to a separate tin and use later to dilute new paint. I also found that i needed to really look after the nozzle parts. If I took a break I remove the nozzle and wash it through leaving it in warm water for the next session as this can get bunged up leading to 'spits' of paint if left. The great advantage of this system is (i) quality of finish - I could never get a finish like this with a roller or brush (ii) speed - it seems to apply a few coats at once so although it gets through the 10L pots quickly, its putting a thick coat (maybe equivalent to 2-3 coats with a brush?) in one go (iii) consistency - if you are methodical in applying the paint (you have to keep a constant speed or you'll get light patches or pooling of paint) the look is amazing. I've had NO experience painting with a spray gun before buying this and following the instructions you'll get a fantastic paint finish. I found that the finish i got was as good with 'good' paint (paint shops recommended own brand) as it was with expensive brands (such as Dulux). I don't think anyone can tell which rooms are finished with which paint. I'm sure this is due to the spray gun. I didn't find cheaper paint causing any problems with the spray gun indeed, a 5-10% water dilution (with VERY THOROUGH mixing using a drill mixer) was ideal with all paints used. I've not tried the 'Diamond' Dulux paint through the spray gun (for scrubbable areas of wall such as hallways) but I expect it is just as good. I've had 2 offers to buy the machine after I've finished with it... the results have been that good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
1.0 out of 5 stars Useless expensive machine
It is a useless expensive machine. I followed all steps of the manual, watched oficcial and unofficial videos on YouTube, called the official service (they don't answer), and I couldn't make it work. It never gets the right pressure. Unfortunately, I couldn't try during the 30 days due to weather conditions and couldn't return. If you want to save time and money, don't buy, search for something better or get a brush and a roller. I wasted so much time and more than £400 to the bin.
