I am new to contouring, so I'm not the best judge of these products.I found that I needed to allow time for my moisturiser to sink in completely, otherwise the dark shade especially becomes very blotchy, and doesn't blend well.

The value is exceptional when you look at comparable contour palettes. I really enjoy using this, particularly the dark and light matte shades. This powder is as smooth as I've ever felt. It's a delicate, rice powder feel that applies very nicely. The color payoff is there when I apply it and lasts throughout the day. I think the dark shade is a little too dark for my fair skin, but that's OK, I just go easy on it. I use the light shade to set my concealer and extend it out over my temples, then finish up with a dusting on top of cheekbones, and down the center of nose. I'm so happy I found this inexpensive yet impressive palette. Also love the large, round shape.
