These are very sturdy and although they took 3 attempts to construct once the problem with first was resolved it was straightforward.The problem was to join the two pieces you need to give them a semi forceful tap with a hammer to lock them together.They make putting a scooter into the car boot much easier and I am so glad we bought them

Several of the reviews mention adding spacers or thick washers into the "hinge" bolt, there's absolutely no need, simply don't completely tighten the "hinge" bolt nuts up and then the mechanism works fine. Those hinge bolts are not taking any weight once the ramps are unfolded and in use, the thick metal "teeth" do that, those bolts are just there to keep the two parts together and to aid with folding / unfolding. They have nylon lock nuts so they won't come undone, just do them both up so that about 4mm of the bolt protudes through the nut and the folding action is just slightly stiff but not floppy. You then have enough flexibiity in the folding action for the "fingers" to overcome any slight protusions in the sides of the ramps and they lock together absolutely perfectly. Just make sure the "fingers" properly engage with the studs, the ramps do not go completely flat, there's maybe 5 degrees out when they're correctly engaged.

These ramps don’t come assembled and we had great difficulty in getting the ramps to work just using the nuts bolts and washers provided and the instructions are negligible..You need an extra spacing washer between the two parts (which is fiddly to fit) otherwise they will not lock into place or fold. Looking down the reviews others have had the same problem and returned the product multiple times until they got two working ramps but a thicker spacing washer does the trick. Once this is sorted the ramps are very sturdy and lock into position with a reassuring clunk and fold back down with the same clunk so there’s no danger of trapped fingers. The edges are sharp so I’ve put an edge protector strip on them so I can handle them without gloves.

Bought them so I could unload a lawnmower out of the truck without the wife seeing it, not because it was her birthday present but a present for myself. Easy to use, quite cumbersome to carry, sharp edges on ramps but do the job perfectly

These are excellent pair of ramps, Using them to put a large mobility scooter into the back of an estate car.Putting them together wasn't too much of a problem, only issue was the diagram in the instructions was so small, I missed some washers out at first.Using them has been good, the only draw back is when unfolded they are not perfectly flat so the bottom half is at a steeper angle than then top half, which is tricky pushing the scooter up.Other than that, excellent value for money.I would put something under the ramps where they rest on the bumper/back of the car just to protect from scratches, I used part of the box they came in.

The ramps are lovely quality the folding is a little tight but that's what you expect if you over tighten the nut once loosened a little bit was OK as it says check bolts before use it means you would notice if they become loose they shouldn't as it's a lock nut but that's the only thing I thought and it was my fault defiantly worth the wait

They Work!
When I first put these together they snagged on the sheet metal on the inner ramp side. Also, the manual with the assembly instructions is so small you can't actually see where the bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts should go. I'm fairly mechanical so that wasn't a big problem for me. To remedy the issue with the sheet metal snagging I placed a relatively thick washer between the two pieces and is realigned the outer piece so that it would close without snagging. I am using these ramps to move my wife's electric wheelchair in and out of my van. For my purposes and with the slight modification they work perfectly.

Vraiment content des mes rampes elles sont bien pensé pour leur manipulation pas trop lourde grâce à leurs poignée doubles ce qui permet qu'elle ne s'ouvre pas en mes déplaçant.J'ai déjà passé plus de 180 kg dessus sans soucis.Ravi de mon achat je les utilise régulièrement.
