To start it off, I’m sensitive to a lot of things, food, sounds and light. So i took the random idea of starting to drink distilled water and adding essential minerals to it(this is extremely important if you are going to do the same), and when i first drank this water my brain went a little fuzzy. I’ve used this for 4 months now and only drank about 2L of tap water since, when I wasn’t able to get anything else. I would rather not drink than drink tap water, after realising the benefits of this. The amount of chlorine, and bad chemicals you avoid with this is incredible - the bottom of it fills up with yellow stuff - very fast - and that you would otherwise drink. I’ve cleaned this twice in the past 4 months, and it took 10 minutes in total. Very simple. I recommend rinsing it after each use to get rid of the yellow stuff build up, and if you want it to make water faster, put in a 60% of boiled kettle water and 40% tap water, so that it doesn’t take as long to start making water - this saves me about an hour per 4L, and probably a lot of energy, to boil kettle water than just put pure cold water into it.I highly recommend this as an important part of a healthy, clean and considerate lifestyle, specifically for people who have sensitivities to various things or often feel not clear in the mind - this will help significantly!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is an essential piece of kit for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea sufferers using CPAP therapy.

This is an essential piece of kit for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea sufferers using CPAP therapy. I was diagnosed in January and picked up my CPAP machine in February. As I have really bad Allergic Rhinitis, they recommended that I get a CPAP machine with a humidifier circuit and water reservoir [AirSense 10 Elite Autoset].The nurse told me I could use boiled water in the reservoir, but all of my research on CPAP machines indicated that this would not be pure enough and would damage the machine as well as potentially cause respiratory infections. Boiled kettle water is not free from mould spores and other organic and inorganic matter and minerals, the boiling process doesn't kill or remove them and the water, if you're in a hard water area like me, is still full of limescale. As you're using the boiled water from the kettle and it isn't being filtered through anything, rather than using the steam, which is later condensed and then filtered in a distiller, boiled tap water has all of the impurities of standard tap water. After a mere three days of using boiled water in the CPAP machine reservoir, a white limescale mark started to show in the tank.I immediately bought one of these distillers and honestly, it's a fantastic piece of kit. I have been distilling and using my own water for over two months now, almost three, and there's no limescale build up whatsoever in my CPAP machine. Unlike simply boiling water, the distillation process means that the water you end up with is free from mould spores and limescale and is extremely pure. This is further evidenced by the gunk that is left behind in the distiller's main tank once the cycle has ended. All of that gunk in the tank is what is in your tap water and what you were breathing in via your CPAP machine if you used boiled tap water. All of the CPAP and OSA sites recommend distilled water, so I thought this was worth the investment. The hospitals and nurses tend to recommend boiled tap water because distilled water is extremely expensive in the long term. However this device is well worth the investment to extend the life of your equipment, protect your respiratory system and save money on distilled water. The distiller pays for itself in no time as pre-bottled distilled water is extremely expensive and often the jerry cans are very difficult to open due to overtightening. I've had to return a few that could not be opened even with a jar opener because the caps were fused shut.I have distilled about eight 3.5L loads so far for use with my own CPAP device and my father's. Neither one has any limescale build-up anymore and I feel better knowing that I'm not breathing in as much rubbish. The distiller is very efficient, creating around 3.5L of distilled water from 4L of tap water. It only takes a few hours and you can see that the distilled water is crystal clear. The equipment is very well made, solid and sturdy, but because of a few bad reviews, I opted for the additional three year breakdown and accidental damage cover for £14.49. I haven't had any issues with the distiller but the peace of mind of having three years of cover is fantastic and at that price, a steal.I've cleaned the device once using the descaler crystals and they worked perfectly. Even the hardened limescale was stripped off and it was like new again. My only criticism is that the instruction manual translation [it's from China I believe] is very poor and can be a little confusing. Thankfully the product is very basic to use and it's all self explanatory. A single button activates the distilling cycle and it automatically turns itself off when the jug is full.I paid £22 for 11L of distilled water before buying this distiller and I've made 28L myself, with another two loads of 3.5L each being required at the end of the week. The distiller is paying for itself at an incredible rate. At this rate it'll have paid for itself within four months and then it's saving me money on expensive distilled water. With the three year cover, I've got a few years worth of distilled water I can make at no cost.I highly recommend that people distil their own water for use with CPAP machines, as per the recommendations on all of the CPAP websites. It makes a visible difference and extends the lifespan of your CPAP equipment by preventing limescale build-up. It also helps to prevent rare cases of pneumonia, should your water have mould spores or other nasties. Please see this useful explanation from a water treatment website:'Distillation is one of the oldest methods for creating pure water. Filtered water is heated until it has evaporated, turning into steam. This steam is collected in a sterile container, where it condenses and becomes water again. Because water has a lower boiling point than most contaminants (including minerals), they are left behind when the water turns into steam. The resulting water is, therefore, very pure. In addition, some water is double or triple distilled, with the condensed water being boiled and condensed a second or third time.Organic materials and inorganic minerals are the most common impurities found in water. The organics can typically be removed via filtering methods, including physical filters, carbon filters, and reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. After this pre-treatment, the water is sent through a DI system, which contains two types of resin: cation and anion. These two resins attract positive and negative ions, respectively, replacing them with H+ and OH-. H+ combined with OH- becomes H2O – water. The combination of filters and DI resins can remove nearly all contaminants.'I highly recommend this kit. It's use goes beyond CPAP machines and distilled water is useful for healthcare devices, cosmetic devices, steam irons and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Water distiller

Bought it and it's been fine. However I will need to change it soon because the inside it staring to change and metal seem to be lifting from the bottom of the distiller around 8 months use from new. Doing 3 cycle a day some time 4 but 2 cycle happens more often depending on what I am doing. The glass holder is great I wish both was 6 litters hold but I guess you need to search for a bigger one. This cost me around £109 I believe at the time of purchase with a £50 gift card added.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well, it ended in disappointment after all...

UPDATE 21/03/2024-------------------------I am returning the distiller tomorrow. The fan developed a whining noise, which means something is about to break. And before it does, and since the return window hasn't closed yet, it's gotta go back. Also, the inside of the nozzle, where the filter goes, is beggining to show signs of rust.I'd say 90% of the appliance is made of pretty good quality parts and materials, but the other 10% is what really lets it down in the end. I'm gutted. I really wanted this to work. :(ORIGINAL REVIEW----------------------I've been using the CO-Z water distiller since the day I received it, about 10 days ago.I read the whole manual, first thing after I opened the box and checked for any damages. It's a very "distilled" (pun intended) version of the average manual for kitchen appliances, so it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to carefully read and understand it all. And I heard that the manual has been written very slowly, which is perfect for people out there who are not fast readers (I'll stop with the dad jokes now). One of the first things the manual says is to run the distiller a few times and discard the contents produced by it. You need to do it 2 or 3 times (filling it up with water each time, goes without saying), and then each time pour out the distilled water down the kitchen sink - meaning: NOT CONSUMING IT. This is done in order to clean up whatever residue/debris is left from the manufacturing process.Anywho, I am having nothing but joy (so far) with this distiller. The water comes out colorless, odourless and tasteless - the three main properties of potable water. I must say, this distilled water feels much fresher going down the gullet, than Volvic mineral water does. And Volvic is by far (in my opinion) the best bottled mineral water out there, and one I've been consuming for years, thanks to our rubbish local water supply and infra-structure, here in my neck of the woods.I have no idea if I, at some point, am going to run into the same problems other reviewers pointed out, such as rust and electrical faults. All I know is, I'm spending about 25 GBP a week in bottled mineral water, and this distiller cost me about 140 GBP, so it should pay itself off in a month and a half. If it lasts for a year before going legs up, then I'll still be in the profit, even if I buy another one.One thing I haven't accounted for, though: electricity usage. Right now I'm running the distiller every second day, but it's a 3 to 4 hour cycle. I'll be doing some maths on that to see how much my energy bill goes up.So there you have it, folks. This distiller works, the water is great, and so far I think it was worth the purchase. I may come back later and ammend this review if I change my mind about it.

    Works well

    J. · 5 October 2024

After buying 4 of these and getting rid of 3 of them because the scorched metal on the bottom of the inside of the distiller canister I finally had an “ah-ha!” moment. Long story short, if you don’t want a scorched bottom then don’t let the distiller run dry. We fill ours to just above the word “FILL” so we can get a full carafe of water and save the bottom of the canister. Yes, we have to pay attention so the carafe doesn’t overflow but that requires minimal to no effort. Once the water reaches the top of the metal ring on the carafe we just unplug the distiller. Works perfectly and no nasty scorched canister. For the price and efficacy there’s probably not a better unit out there. If there is, let us distilled water fans know! Also, one of the distillers arrived with a broken “foot” and after reaching out to the company they sent us a new pair of feet. All in all, very pleased with this distiller.

    Works great, needs better instructions

    D.K. · 10 June 2024

After putting the components together, I saw the plug connected to the lid was very short so decided the longer plug was provided to allow the unit better access to a wall plug outlet. I connected the longer plug to the shorter plug on the unit and then plugged it into the wall receptacle. The fan worked, but the unit did not heat. After an hour of waiting for the unit to heat, I reviewed similar products as I planned to send this "faulty" unit back.Saw a video on another product which showed the short plug going from the unit lid to the first plug outlet on the bottom of the unit and the long plug going from the second unit outlet to a wall plug outlet. Both plug outlets on the distiller are on the back of the unit and I never looked at the back. Once I plugged the two cords in the correct plugs, the unit worked beautifully. The instruction manual did not show the back of the unit or explain where/how to plug the cords. Granted, I am mechanically challenged and feel silly for my oversight (my husband usually takes care of anything mechanical), but the instruction manual should have a diagram of the installed cords as well as detailed instructions of all steps needed to set up the unit.I purchased this distiller to avoid plastic particles leaching into water stored in plastic jugs. There is a long plastic tube included with this unit which is used to direct the distilled water into the collector bottle. I do not want the water in contact with plastic so did not use the plastic tube. The unit works well without the tubing. It drops water into the glass water collector without spillage . Another reason not to use the tube is that its length inside the collector pitcher makes positioning and removing the water collector pitcher difficult. The unit is relatively quiet. The only sound is the fan which is a soft sound. The outside of the unit becomes slightly warm, but not hot. Cleaning was easy. We have well water so the bottom of the unit was covered in white mineral deposits and there was also white debris on the underside of the removal lid. I poured enough white vinegar into the container to cover the bottom, then dipped a paper towel in the vinegar and easily wiped mineral deposits off the inner sides of the container and the lid. Waited five minutes and then wiped the bottom clean. Vinegar easily removed the mineral residue, no scrubbing needed. Did not use the cleaning powder included with the unit as I prefer using more natural cleaning products such as vinegar or baking soda.Aside from the instruction manual, this seems to be a very nice product. I put the distilled water into two glass pitchers with lids so the glass bottle collector pitcher is now available for future use. The smaller pitchers are lighter and easier to use for filling my coffee machine.

Súper recomendable, la mejor inversión para la salud que debes hacer!

The media could not be loaded.
