1.0 out of 5 stars Sadly disappointing.
This is the third pair of headphones i have bought from this company and i have to say that i am quite disappointed with this particular pair. Right out of the box i could tell that something was up with them. It was clear once they were connected to my Ipod that the sound quality i had expected from my previous two pairs just wasn't present on these ones. For a start, the wonderful punchy bass that i was expecting was not present at all. Instead there is nothing but very noticeable distortion and vibration, and for whatever reason, this pair just do not go anywhere near loud enough. The volume is just incredibly low. I have the volume bar on my Ipod as far to the right as it can go, and judging by the level the sound is at, i think i would need at least half the bar again before it came anywhere near close to being loud enough.I bought these headphones to replace an ageing set of Skullcandy Lowriders that i keep at my desk in work for use with my Ipod or Youtube when i'm on break. Comparing the two, there is just no comparison at all. The Skullcandy set are much louder and much clearer. Anyone that is even remotely in to headphones will know that the Skullcandy set i mentioned aren't a particularly good set of headphones, so saying that these Betron ones sound worse is somewhat of a damning indictment of their sound quality. The build quality doesn't seem to be as good as the previous ones either. The faux leather that covers the padding on the headband was already coming loose at the bottom. I have tucked it in as best i can, but this is unacceptable for a brand new product.I'm really very disappointed. As mentioned, i have bought 2 pairs (different models) of Betron before and although those other two pairs were slightly more expensive i would not have expected such a big difference in the sound quality. Had these been my first experience with this Betron headphones, it would also have been my last, and frankly it has made me think twice about buying any more of them. I had thought that they would be my go-to company for headphones for the foreseeable, but i'm going to have to reassess that now. I would seriously have to think think twice about buying from them again. Shame really. I would actually consider returning this set for a refund or possibly a replacement but at less than £7 i can't be bothered with the hassle, particularly as i believe we have to pay the postage on any returns.

2.0 out of 5 stars Let's compare this mess...
I'll begin by saying that I had the HD1000 model before I got this HD500. The wire finally gave out after tugging on it too many times over the years, so I had to get this new pair. There were no HD1000's available, so I opted to get the HD500.I figured, this is £5 or so cheaper than the HD1000 model, there can't be much different right... Wrong! The HD1000 has crisp normal sound, with just the right amount of punchy bass for when I'm playing music. A great headset for a cheap price in my opinion. This HD500 has horrendous sound quality, it sounds like your listening to distant sound through a tin can, and the bass is overload, just people talking comes through with bass, a complete waste of money. The HD500 I bought was so bad, I actually had to open both headsets to unsolder the speakers off of my old headset and put them into my new headset body with the new wire. Doing so showed me why the HD500 were so terrible. The HD500 speaker magnet's diameter was 1cm... Tiny... The HD1000 magnets were 4cm... Clearly bigger is better when it comes to headphone speaker magnets. With my speakers swapped out, I have my good old headphone quality back, headband needed bending out a little as they pressed my ears a bit hard, but all good now.Moral of the story... Spend the few extra coin for the HD1000 model if you can get it anywhere. The cable lenght as I have measured it is 182cm total for my pair. It's listed as 170cm.It is a little over 150cm to the wire split, then 30cm to each ear,
not a recommend
never worked wiring damaged prevented head phones from working wasted my money 👎🏻
