My excitement for this toy's concept was met with a tinge of disappointment upon receiving the product. The idea behind it is undeniably wonderful, but the actual experience left me wishing for more.Upon opening the package, I encountered an unexpected issue - small bug larvae inside the box. This was quite unsettling and not something you want to discover when unboxing a new item.To add to my dismay, I also noticed a broken page when examining the toy closely.In summary, the concept of this toy holds great promise, and I genuinely wanted to love it. However, the presence of bug larvae and the damaged component were unfortunate letdowns.

This was advertised as two day delivery but the seller very kindly sent it on a 24 hour service. The outer packaging is lovely, with North Pole postal service printed on the box. The item itself is really well made, the book is great and it is definitely worth every penny. Grandson was delighted

There are so many elf on the shelf around now that you don’t have to pay this price, but I wanted to get the original and I’m pleased I did. I wasn’t fussed about the book as we won’t be doing ‘the elf is watching’, I just wanted the elf but you can’t buy them separately which is frustrating. The elf itself is great, doesn’t look creepy which I thought it might with the plastic face!
