Arrived reasonably sharp but gave it a little touch up nonetheless. The head had held it's edge well after a decent amount of chopping both green and dead wood. The handle finish is surface only (I.e. not stained) which I found out when I tried to remove the writing but gave it a quick scorch and I'm happy with it as a day to day hatchet.

Decent axe might be a factory second or returned item though as the head does not line up well with the handle however works the same the axe head is very soft though and not hardened in any way so will need a bit of looking after if you hit a nail when chopping etc. but seems to sharpen up again based on price and looks this is a good product probably won’t last
