5.0 out of 5 stars A lifesaver
I don't normally review stuff but this has been such a lifesafer I feel like I have to.This cheap little beauty is super easy to set up and get working, and it emptied my car of oil in around 5 minutes. If you're struggling with suction here are some tips that worked for me:Take your car for a drive, get it up to temperature so the oil is nice and hot, and park it up and let it cool down for 45 mins to an hour. Touch the oil on the dip stick with your fingers, it should be warm but not scolding hot.Don't push the feed tube all the way in and then turn on the machine - turn the machine on first with the feed tube partly down the dipstick tube and then slowly push the tube down until the pump changes pitch
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value,Easy to use.
Overall works well, not up to garage standards, My car has 4.2 litres of engine oil and it took out 3.7 litres from the sump, so about 1/2 a litre of dirty oil left to mix with the new oil (you never get 100% of the old oil out), that was the first time it was used so with experiance my get slightly better pick up. Well worth the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely recommended
This a very inexpensive product that appears to work well having used it once.First of all MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT the car whose oil change you want to undertake is suitable for oil extraction. For instance with VW Touaregs some older models can have extraction and some cannot because they have an obstruction below the dip stick conduit or they have a double sump and newer models have no dipstick and the oil level is checked via in car computer. So check up on line or in manufacturers handbook etc.I would give the following advice: 1) IT WILL NOT WORK IF THE ENGINE OIL IS COLD.2) In order to get the oil at the correct temperature 40c to 60c --and no doubt the lawyers will not allow the manufacturers to give this advice --run the engine from cold and keep feeling the end of the dipstick with your fingers until it feels "hand hot" which will be about 50 degrees centigrade then you can switch the engine off and start the extraction. Any other method such as timing of engine running is much less reliable.3) Do not feed too much of the extractor tube into the dip stick duct as it may get caught up . -- Measure the approximate distance to the bottom of the sump and only feed in slightly more than that amount of tubing.4) If significant oil gets into the dip stick duct it may be difficult to assess the oil level with the dipstick so it might be best to be satisfied with less than full and top up later.I did not time how long it took to empty the sump but it seemed much quicker than the maximum time given in the instructions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth every penny
Purchased this pump to transfer 800 Ltrs of kerosene from my old tank to new tank and to say I was not disappointed is a complete understatement. Ok yes I ran it in periods of 20/30 minutes then off for the same amount of time off my car battery, but it did the job perfectly and beats syphoning it manually which we started doing the day before, then saw this advertised on Bolo. We did have to prime it by sucking the fuel up the pipe after the first time we gave it a rest, but that was soon solved by clamping the plastic pipe to stop it draining back into the tank. As regards time, it took us about 6 hours to transfer 800 ltrs but that was in 20/30 minute periods with the same rest time, but it’s the best £21 I’ve spent in a very long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for occasional use.
Let's be honest, you're not going to be using this that often if you are a home mechanic and it's proved very handy for occasional use. Works tolerably well without being outstanding.
Pratico, semplice e funzionale.
