About this item:

  • COMPACT AIR COOLER - The 136mm low-profile Hyper H412R is ideal for high-performance CPU cooling in compact SFF motherboards or cases with limited clearance
  • DIRECT CONTACT COOLING TECHNOLOGY - The main heat exchanger features a perfectly flat array of 4 copper heat pipes (Ø 6mm) designed to accelerate thermal conductivity using Direct Contact technology for quick and efficient heat dissipation
  • STACKED ALUMINIUM FIN HEATSINK - A precision-engineered aluminium array features precision-spaced fins to ensure minimum airflow resistance, which allows a high volume of cool air to flow through the heatsink easily
  • SILENT 92MM PWM FAN - The versatile 92mm PWM fan ensures maximum airflow and optimised performance (34.1CFM ± 10%, 1.79mm H2O ± 10%) while still running at low noise levels (29.4 dBA)
  • AMD & INTEL COMPATIBLE - New box contains universal mounting brackets for Intel (LGA 1700, 1200, 1151, 1150, 1155, 1156) & AMD (AM5, AM4) sockets

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic fan! Super silent. Very pleased.

    j. · 15 August 2024

This is my second one of these now as I like them so much! First one is still working great after 2 years in my other PC. Got this again as wanted a silent fan for the PC that is on my desk all the time. As you can see it is a huge heatsink! But somehow it just fits. :-)Fitting it id a little tricky as you have to screw into the supplied back plate while holding the heat sink. But only took me 10 mins to install this so not tricky at all. Easier with two people but fine on your own.The fan is keeping my i3-9100T cool at about 36c around 900rpm. I can hardly hear the fan. I would recommend this and definitely buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing performance

I recently upgraded my CPU cooler to the Cooler Master Hyper H412R, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. As an avid PC user who indulges in both gaming and content creation, finding a reliable and efficient cooling solution is crucial, and this cooler did not disappoint. The first thing that caught my attention was the compact and sleek design of the Hyper H412R. It fits easily into most PC cases without obstructing nearby components, making it an excellent choice for small form factor builds. The build quality feels solid, and the installation process was straightforward, thanks to the included clear instructions and mounting hardware. When it comes to cooling performance, the Hyper H412R truly shines. Equipped with four direct contact heat pipes and a well-designed aluminum heatsink, it effectively dissipates heat from the CPU. During rigorous tasks like gaming and video rendering, I noticed a significant drop in CPU temperatures compared to the stock cooler I was using before.Despite its powerful cooling capabilities, the Hyper H412R operates quietly. The 92mm PWM fan spins at a low RPM when the system is idle or under light loads, maintaining a near-silent operation. Even during heavy workloads, the fan noise remained within acceptable levels, ensuring a peaceful computing experience. Moreover, I appreciate Cooler Master's attention to compatibility. The Hyper H412R supports a wide range of CPU sockets, including Intel LGA 115x and AMD AM4, making it suitable for various processor configurations. This versatility ensures that users can enjoy the benefits of this cooler regardless of their CPU choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to install. Good fan

    J.L. · 5 December 2024

I struggled to install this, instructions were ok the youtube vids i watched threw me off. Very good cooling cpu temps dropped almost instantly to 50 at max load. Quiet and comes with thermal paste. Only issues was the installation and I also have literally no idea how to hook up the LEDS and by the time I got to that, about 45mins after starting install, i wasnt bothered to figure it out..

5.0 out of 5 stars Massive drop in CPU temperatures over stock fan.

After fitting an Intel Core i7 870 in place of my old i3 540 on my old Foxconn Socket 1156 motherboard I "upgraded" the cooler to an Arctic Alpine but the CPU was still running too hot for my liking. It would idle at up to 50 degrees C and under load it would hit 70 degrees. Maxxed out with all four cores under load it would hit 90 degrees plus! Now I know the Lynnfield chips run hot but this was way too much. Searching the internet for better cooling solutions the Cooler Master N412R got decent reviews so having checked that I could access the rear of the motherboard behind the CPU without removing it from the case I bought it. Having fitted this cooler and run Geekbench over and over as well as rendering video I'm pleased to say my CPU temps are back in the zone. It idles at less than 35 degrees C, light load takes it up to 50 degrees max and a full sustained load sees temperatures fail to exceed 60 degrees...well within the safe zone for this CPU. That's a huge drop in temp. Hugely impressed. Moreover, if I run Foxconn Smart Fan so that fan speed varies according to CPU load, it is much quieter too. Win win. One major point of note: To fit this fan you must be able to access the rear of the motherboard in the area behind the CPU as it uses a special backplate to support the cooler and fan rather than the (rather rubbish) standard Intel push clip system for Socket 1156. If you can't do this or don't want to remove the whole motherboard to fit it then this cooler is not for you. Also, you must read the fitting instructions really carefully. They are not the best but after a few read throughs it all made sense. Top tip: Lay all the parts out as per their numbers / letters in the contents section before assembly so you can see which piece is which as some are quite similar. Finally, it is quite tall so it's no good for slim cases so check the height of your case to make sure it fits. For me, it's one of the best PC upgrades I've ever made. Really, really effective cooling for the price and probably good enough to support some modest overclocking too. Highly recommended. Will buy one for my AMD socket AM4 Ryzen gaming rig too as it fits most AMD sockets too! P.S: I used Arctic MX-4 paste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does a better job than the stock cooler

    A.M. · 13 January 2025

Does a great job of keeping my Ryzen 5700x nice and cool. It keeps it cooler than the stock AMD cooler. It is also quieter. Install was nice and easy with all the hardware provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good choice

    J. · 25 October 2024

A cheap and a good alternative for any processor that will not be overclocked to the extrems, I use it on my 6700k and it stay relatively cool. It is worth the money for day to day use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good cooler but....

    J.K. · 15 January 2025

It's a decent cooler, works fine but doesn't come with am4 backplate. Luckily I had one I could use with it. (from the stock am4 cooler).

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for 1700 socket

    R.M. · 25 December 2024

Product description says “new box” compatible with 1700 socket. I was sent one that wasn’t compatible. Only found out on Christmas Day when being fitted. Luckily the CPU came with a basic cooler.Looking on the Cooler Master site shows a “2022” version with completely different instructions and components that would make it fit.So obviously not at all happy and product being returned. Maybe there is a “new box” version that’s compatible that could be sent but I don’t see how anyone can know until they receive it.
