5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheerful
These are the cheapest I've found. But they did the job.2 of them were sturdy enough to hold a very heavy (approx 40kg) timber gate whilst I was working on it.One thing to note though - do not screw the top boards too tight, otherwise the sliding mechanisms won't work and you might break the turn handles. I had to disassemble the first worktable because of that mistake. And as noted by other reviews - instructions are terrible. Chuck them away and just go by the product picture.
4.0 out of 5 stars .
A bit fiddly to put up but works well and good value
5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for non intensive DIY.
Cheap and cheerful surprised made quite a good standard quite sturdy. Would recommend for light usage as it is not that strong as like a black and decker but will serve you well if you don't take it beyond its capability's. For 18 pound what do you really expect it is a bargain for the home DIYER The boarding is MDF medium density and will serve well just remember do not put too much stress on it i am pleased and price fair.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not sturdy
Quite difficult to assemble with limited instructions.Very shaky, I ended up having to hold it with one hand and do the sawing in the other. It requires a key but it doesn’t come with it.I don’t recommend it. It is the drawback of buying cheap things.
3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
A bit cheap and tinny instructions un clear
5.0 out of 5 stars Light in weight, not bulky
I found the bench ideal for my projects, light to move about, and not bulky, so it fits tidy in the corner of my shed, and easy to open up and close for storage. Price was fantastic.I wouldn’t recommend it for heave jobs, but like I say ideal for small projects very happy indeed
4.0 out of 5 stars A robust folding Trestle Work bench. Great value for Money!
This was bought as a present for teenager so he could do some practical work to complement his Woodworking studies. He is delighted with it. His tutors are impressed with some of his handy work.
2.0 out of 5 stars Jaws will not operate.
The instructions are typical of a product that is self assembly and by that I mean that there is always something that is not properly indicated either in a photo which is not easily identified or wording which is not easily understood. However with a little experimenting it came together in about 45 minutes. The problem was that the mechanism for opening and shutting the jaws of the bench were unbelievably tight and became seized up altogether and would not operate at all. Had I been wanting this for a workbench I would have returned it immediately but it was to form a base for holding seedling pots in the garden for which it was ideal.
