I really enjoy using this product because I can keep my hair moisturised without all the nasties in many of these Afro hair care products. Would highly recommend! Oh and it smells nice- the lemongrass and orange essential oils make it smell wonderful.

I use this product after washing my hair and in between washes. It smells delicious! I love that my hair has bounce and is not weighed down when I apply it.
afrocenchix Cream: A nice hair cream
I ordered the afrocenchix Smooth - Natural Moisturizing Cream for Afro and Curly Hair to add “life” to my old, gray, and dry hair. I also ordered this product because it has all the right ingredients -- shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, and aloe vera. Additionally, it is a vegan and 99 percent natural product.I have used the afrocenchix cream as part of my wash and go hair regimen. I do not use it with the suggested “Seal.” I do not believe that I will use a light oil to seal my hair after using this product – I am satisfied with the results using shampoo, a conditioner, and then applying the afrocenchix cream. I did not need to add much of the cream to my hair to achieve a nice sheen. As the 1950’s Brylcreem commercial used to say, “A Little Dab'll Do Ya.”The jury is still out regarding the smell of the afrocenchix cream. The cream has natural fragrances; however my conditioner smells fabulous, and this cream does not complement the smell of my conditioner but rather masks it.There’s one missing manufacturing step – there was no safety seal on my bottle of afrocenchix cream. I am 99 percent sure that no one tampered with the product, but I would have appreciated the additional surety of a sealed top. Surprisingly, there was no product spillage given that the flip top was slightly ajar.I am vacillating as to whether this is a four or five-star product. I will give it a 4.5 and if my statistical background is correct – I should round this number to five.
Moisturizing and good for twist outs
Love the scent and how moisturized my hair feels. I like the consistency as well, but due to it's thickness it's difficult to get it out of the bottle (I think it would be better suited in a container with a twist off lid). It melts into the hair very quickly. This is good to use after a fresh wash to define your curls/coils and for twist outs. My hair is type 4a/4b
Your hair will love this!
I have 3B hair. My hair is frizzy, dry and thick. I was looking for something new for my hair and so far, I love this. I applied this on my wet hair after I washed it. It makes my hair more manageable and softer. It feels light and doesn't drag my hair down. The smell is like a salon, but not too strong. I think I can make this bottle last a little while because two handfuls of this isn't needed. This product is a very effective moisturizer and great for adding softness to hair.
Good moisturizer
Adds a smooth finish to my clean damp curly and wavey hair. It is very thick which makes it a little tougher to squeeze out of the bottle. Nice scent. Makes my curls last longer throughout the day. I really appreciate the ingredients used in this formula.

This was my first time trying anything by the Afrocenchix brand. My hair is right inbetween wavy-curly, and I've been putting in a lot of effort to get it manageable lately. I really like this! The cream has a rich consistency but doesn’t feel heavy (which is great because my hair tends to get weighed down easily, so I have to be really careful with what, and how much, of a product I apply). I apply it on damp hair, and it really helps lock in moisture and define my waves without making them crunchy. Going through the ingredients list, and there are some definite winners in there! The shea butter and coconut oil add a nice shine, and I’ve noticed less frizz on my second-day hair. The scent is light and pleasant, too. Def. plan to look at the rest of their product line.
