I purchased this because our bathroom ceiling light stopped working, but I'd been considering buying one before to use in the bathroom in the middle of the night, when we don't like to put the bright lights on. It works perfectly and I like the fact it's freestanding so can be moved around if needed. Size wise, for those familiar with the Glade Sense & Spray, it's roughly the same size as one of those. I've shared an image here of the instructions on the back of the box. Very simple operation. 3 modes: On, off, and auto. This is great as it means you can switch from motion detection to "on", if you need to have it on permanently. On the "auto" setting, it recognises you instantly in the dark but goes off after 25 seconds if you're still there but don't move, but you can of course just wave your arms/move and it will come back on. Gives out a warm glow (not a harsh white light), so is good when you don't want anything too bright in the middle of the night, yet it's still bright enough to see what you're doing/where you're going. Would buy again without hesitation. It has multiple uses/possibilities. (I haven't owned it long enough to know what the battery life is like.)

This night light does it’s job well and the motion detector works, it looks nice but I think the plastic feels a bit cheap and is very lightweight- which is why I feel it was expensive for what it is. It may sound odd but this is for our elderly cat (now 19 human years old) who cannot see so well in the dark anymore- so it is left on all night to light the way to her food, water and litter tray. It gives off enough light to do this and we use rechargeable batteries in it which last overnight- we don’t use the motion sensor routinely as she is probably too small to activate it (and we would never know as we are obviously asleep at the time) - but switched it to that by mistake one evening and it lit up when I walked back in the room. We are pleased with it but just felt it was a little expensive for the quality of the plastic

We use this as a night-time bathroom light to avoid waking by putting on a bright light. Delighted with this lamp, it provides a lovely warm-white light of perfect intensity and the motion detection works perfectly. The battery life appears good, three months in and still on the original batteries. The lamp appears to be a high quality item belying its modest price point.
