I hope this review will help someone.Firstly, returns at this point of time are free.I'm not impressed with supermarket mince and wanted to do my own by buying 4 kg of meat - at least I'd know what I'm eating.I've used mincing attachments for food mixers before but they're not dishwasher safe and usually made of low grade alloy, which tarnishes what you're mincing ... so over a period of time, I've decided to get a manual mincer. Prices do vary but I'm aware of the strain that thick cuts of meat can put on the handle of a mincer, so I opted for a stainless steel mincer with excellent suction.In the attached pics, you can see that I'm mincing lamb, for burgers and shepherd's pie. I had a good deal on lambs legs, so I bought 4.I like...The long handle, it was easy to gain leverage.The suction foot was excellent both on glass hob as well as laminate worktop, as under pressure, it remained in place.The auger/big spiral, is polished stainless steel, so meat runs through smoothly.Everything comes apart for washing.... even the suction foot.It's heavy as the main body is cast from one mould.The last picture shows the fat that I minced for rendering and using when I roast potatoes.The mincer is well made and thought out.It's not the cheapest but for the quality and longevity, I feel its been a good purchase.If I spread the cost over a 10-15 year period....yeh, it is worth it.I am recommending this mincer as you won't be disappointed.Also packaging and delivery was excellent.
4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad!
I think this mincer has done Chinese manufacturing proud. I have burned my fingers a few times with items developed fully in China but I think this time the gamble might have paid off. I was looking for a quality stainless steel hand operated mincer but information is almost non-existent on the few models available (e.g. is the manual Tre Spade really made in Italy as claimed by some sellers?) I've only used this mincer once, but I wanted to write this while my first impressions were still fresh. I'll update this review if I experience any problems in future. Unfortunately, I've never used another mincer before so I'm not sure if what I experienced was normal: it takes a bit of elbow grease to operate and wanted to move where clamped on the worktop. Furthermore, grizzle seems to be a problem and collected around the blade. Is this normal for "workhorse" mincers as well e.g. Porkert? Anyway, I'm convinced as claimed that this mincer is manufactured fully from stainless steel (all parts are magnetic, but mostly not as strong as "normal" carbon steel, so it is not "normal" carbon steel and certainly not (nonmagnetic) aluminium). I've caught out sellers before where any shiny metal is sold as "stainless" but for this mincer the claim is true. It really does look like in the pictures: very well manufactured and finished. The outsides are mirror polished and the insides have a brushed/courser finish which I believe is a functional requirement (i.e. some friction between the metal parts and the meat to avoid slippage). Even the sausage attachment is beautifully made from stainless (that it is listed as "enema" is a bit disconcerting but I guess that is Chinaenglish for you). The blade and two "holey-plates" are apparently from a different (harder) stainless (3Cr13) and they are also superbly well finished. They appear to be of standard dimensions so spares from other manufacturers might fit (referring to the blade and plates specifically). I can see no reason why this mincer should not continue to work very well for a long time, but like said I'll update this review as necessary.Here are a few observations after first use:•Clamp/mount thinner gauge than on a #10 Porkert;•Handle seems slightly less substantial than Porkert;•Gap between auger and body slightly more than on Porkert;•I modified auger (grinding) to look like Porkert, but this was probably unnecessary;•I drilled two holes in feet to allow mounting with screws (in reality it tends to move when operated and it is awkward to properly clamp firmly with the factory arrangement);•I glued the rubber parts on because one came off (easily) and I nearly lost it;•Grizzle doesn't work too well, it clogs up around the blade;•Large or elongated blocks of meat get bruised between the auger and the body: cut meat as small as possible (2cm cubed?);
5.0 out of 5 stars Used for making raw cat food with bone.
Had this product for a few months now and it performs really well. Handles chicken wings and also chicken thigh bones easily with just a little muscle power. Screw in stabiliser fits standard uk worktops and with the suction disc used also is very stable indeed. Not used the sausage attachments yet as use this item solely for raw cat food. All stainless, comes to bits in seconds for cleaning which is super easy. Really pleased with this! No noise as manual and needs minimal space to store. Would easily fit in a drawer if stored in pieces. Takes just a minute or so to set up. Comes with address for replacement parts when needed, ie cutting blade.
5.0 out of 5 stars I just received the machine(model 12)
It is indeed stainless steel 304. All metal parts are magnetic. In the handbook it is also written that it has no aluminium parts just stainless steel 304. I am looking for a few months for something like this.I am curious how it will work. I will write this to my review after I will use the machine.I used the machine. It works great. Thank you God for this machine!
5.0 out of 5 stars Vry sturdy. Does the job
This is a solid grinder. The suction cup works great (the other bracket not as well but I haven't tried it properly). The unit is simple to use and does what it is meant to so. Very impressed. Cleaning is quite straightforward and there is a special brush to help. The whole unit dismantles for really deep cleaning as is required after every use.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good, plain, sturdy mincer
This mincer takes me back to the early 1940s and my mother mincing the scraggy meat ration. Her mincer lasted until she died and then was lost; this machine gives the strong impression that it too will last for donkey years. It works well for raw and cooked meat; it is simple to dismantle for washing and the internal surface is well finished. I wish it had a second coarser cutting disc. I have not tried making sausages with it.

ottimo
