I have used this little item several times now to improve the sound coming from a portable video player. It is easy to use, lasts well on one charge, and works really well. I can even hear stereo background sounds in some of the video scenes, which adds to the realism. It gives a massive step up from the low level sound quality coming from the video player unaided.My only gripe is with the cardboard container for the product. It has a moulded plastic insert with different sections to contain the unit and its various leads. This is clearly needed to keep everything separately accessible. But with repeated use the cardboard container is wearing out. I shall have to replace it with a more permanent box, and finding just the right size might be difficult. It would be great if the manufacturer could give some thought to providing a permanent case for the product.

I had been looking for a wireless transmitter for my JVC television so that my wife, who works 12 hour shifts, could watch TV while I slept.I only chose Bolo because research showed a wide variety of quality issues with these devices, all Chinese made. From the amount of unheard of and increasingly bizarre manufacturers, I first chose a Cheap (£11.00) device. It was complete crap! The sound quality sounded as though people were speaking underwater, it was difficult to set up ...and understand the loopy english translation instructions so I binned it.How to choose from all the crap Bolo has to offer?Well, I thought...let's go up a price band and see how they perform.This unit had more understandable instructions, was easy to follow and easy to set up. I charged the transmitter first . You press the centre button for a few seconds until it flashes blue then switch on your Bluetooth device, in this case some Skullcandy Sesh wireless earphones. As soon as you take out the earphones they automatically connected to the transmitter and the flashing blue led i changes to constant.Then plugged the cable into the TV headphone socket and after a second or two......lo and behold....sound. The latency was acceptable with only a fractional difference between sound received and the lip movement on screen.The sound is a bit "tinny" and I have yet to experiment with adjusting the sound controls on the TV to see if that improves things. But hey!.....it works.How you choose between the many items on Bolo is beyond me. I took the view that if it was still crap then I could at least return it. There are probably better quality units however, I can't be bothered to work my way through them all. If only Bolo could provide a genuine feedback from other users it would help however, you can't trust anything they do nowadays so the return of faulty units is you only recourse.I'm a Prime user and ordered the unit at 22.27hrs and they arrived the next day so that was good....unnecessary but convenient ( I sympathise with the delivery drivers....it's no wonder there is a shortage given their treatment!).In conclusion, if you are not looking for HiFi quality, give them a go.......you can always return them!

I was apprehensive about whether this item hooked into a splitter unit would solve my tv sound issues.It works perfectly, was easy to set up (after some operator error!).If like me you’d prefer listening to tv sound via earphones I thoroughly recommend it. All tv programme audio is perfectly clear.Well worth the price.

This product works well and easy to set up and provides good quality sound. However, for the money compared to similar products it does not have a lcd screen which shows at a single glance the product's function and charge level on battery. This item just flashes when working I prefer a lcd screen. The product is also well made and but compared to other products expensive

No fuss, plug in and play. Does exactly what it says. Seems to last well on a charge. Good transmission. Recommended. UPDATE DEC’23 now only lasts a few hours on a full charge. Disappointing…

I live in an apartment and am very aware of the fact that my neighbours might not appreciate listening to my TV (well YouTube, I don't watch schedule TV) late at night. So I set myself up with a Bluetooth adapter, unfortunately this wasn't my purchase, I made the mistake of buying cheap and payed the price; the delay was enough to make you feel seasick. Then I made this purchase and just WOW!! The is NO delay whatsoever, no degradation of sound quality and fast pairing to my high end Sony headphones. If you are a music lover like myself and have invested in high end Bluetooth headphones, do yourself a massive favour and buy this sender. Don't think that the £10 little units are going to do the job, you need this product. A little more expensive but hardly breaks the bank.And if you just spent £450 on headphones, the temptation to save a few £ on the sender unit. Buy this product if you really appreciate sound quality but need the convenience of wireless use.By now you may be thinking I have no cons worthy of mention..??!! And you would be right, so far so good. Very, very good.
