W.A.S.P.'S LEGENDARY FIRST LIVE ALBUM ON MID-PRICE CD FOLLOWING ITS 30th ANNIVERSARY FEATURING THE CLASSICS "I WANNA BE SOMEBODY", "WILD CHILD", "L.O.V.E. MACHINE" & "SLEEPING IN THE FIRE"
Culled from three incendiary 1987 performances in Long Beach, San Diego and San Bernardino, W.A.S.P.'s 'Live... In The Raw' is an earth-quaking lesson in Heavy Rock. Frontman Blackie Lawless launched W.A.S.P. on the unsuspecting world in 1983 before long tales of their outrageous music and intense stage shows became legendary. Their epic live shows have remained at the heart of Heavy Rock, and this version of their first live album will be released following the band's The Crimson Idol 25th anniversary world tour ending November 2017.
This mid-price CD edition of 'Live... In The Raw' includes the original album recordings and a bonus four tracks taken from the 1998 CD reissue, which includes an acoustic recording of "Sleeping (In The Fire)". Presented in a digipack packaging with a 4-page booklet.
"It was all about shock for W.A.S.P. , be it flaming codpieces, tying a semi-naked woman to a torture rack mid-set, tossing raw meat into the audience or Blackie Lawless' own stupefying arrogance One thing is for certain, in the annals of metal there are very few bands like W.A.S.P." Metal Hammer

5.0 out of 5 stars Brillient
I had this when it came out forgot how good it was.
5.0 out of 5 stars Live in the Raw? .... maybe not completely but it rocks...
Despite the clearly canned audience and the average quality recording (drums at time sound like pices of wood being hit with a wooden spoon) and the over the top 'Hottest band in the world intro ( surprised Simmons and Stanley didnt issue a lawyers letter) this is a really excellent album to listen to (up loud). The band are energised from start to finish and romp thru classic tracks from the first 3 albums( no 'Animal........) but no surprise as record labels were running scared at this point. 2 tracks 'Manimal and 'Harder Faster were exclusive to this release and 'Scream Until You Like it (from Ghoulies 2 soundtrack)The remastered edition comes with 4 bonus tracks
5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent Live Album
I bought this album when it originally came out and owned several other WASP records at the time too. It's brilliant! Though live albums have never been my thing, in live album terms this sits among other classics like 'The Who - Live in Leeds', 'The Stooges - Metalic KO' and 'Twisted Sister - Live at Hammersmith'. It's one of the few I really rate. No longer owning any vinyls and having not heard it in years, I re-purchased this on CD and re-discovered all my old WASP favourites still there! So, an excellent track listing and well worth the 3 or 4 quid I got it for. Turn it right up and feel that rockin' vibe!!
5.0 out of 5 stars A great service

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing live album
One of my all time favourite live albums , great sound . Not a gatefold as described . 2lp in a single sleeve , but not massively bothered about that
4.0 out of 5 stars Rawk Life
Not aclassic but near to it. One of the few live albums I can enjoy (studio albums are better for home listening, live music should be enjoyed live) it does not have a huge track list and is full of classics. One of the main reasons for owning this are the 3 tracks that cannot be found elsewhere. The 2 live tracks, 'Manimal' and 'Harder Faster' are great slabs of WASPish rock, full of venom and sleaze. And the studio, non-live, 'Scream Until You Like It' from the soundtrack to the oscar-winning Ghoulies 2, is pure indulgence. And near perfect.Obviously not for those who enjoy Elbow, The Flaming Lips and the like (not knocking any bands but WASP aint fer the sufisticeeted) but if you like you live music cheesy and dripping with innuendo - oh, and loud - then you may just enjoy this piece of 80s par excellence.
5.0 out of 5 stars Top job.
Top notch purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Now available again and remastered - sounds brilliant.
Classic WASP album - on vinyl again! Had it on vinyl originally but time took its toll on it. Now available again and remastered - sounds brilliant.
Kick ass live recording!
90 mph live recording of WASP in their heyday! Great tracks! Sound is raunchy (which is the way it should be) but clean. The bonus tracks at the end add to the package. A+
Tipper should listen to this!
Back in the 80's the "come'on enough is enough" movement was trying to precurse the #metoo, but it wasn't happening the way "they" liked. so Tipper and her craptastic puppets banned things like songs, and made stickers for sware songs and any album the swore. bands like was W.A.S.P. took the meat by the hand and told these people to choke on it (afterall it was a sticker) growing up back then these labels meant it was "a good recording" annnd, this release certainly was. like Cavanagh and culture said "it was the way it was" not justifying but like Blackie says in this live recording: "sucmee, sucmee, eatmeeraw" I know change is good to those like Corp. America. The music biz certainly made out by this change. the more labels slapped on records the more money came pouring. So Tipper, how do you think it worked? If you know this band (W.A.S.P.) but don't know this recording...you should. it's everything you need to hear with respect to those in power who tried to take away what was at that time Rock n Roll.Actually looking at today, maybe just maybe the 80's are two things: the best decade of Rock n Roll, and the reason Rock really doesn't exist much here in the u. s. today.

Harder, Faster... In The Raw...!!!
