5.0 out of 5 stars Quest 4 Slice Toaster- Black
VARIABLE BROWNING CONTROL – With a variable browning control with 6 settings, you can set the toaster so that you get your perfect coloured toast every time or alternatively, use the cancel button mid-toasting to check on the colour. The Toaster has 6 settings so that you can get the toast exactly the way you want it, but if you want toast well done the highest setting. No. 6 doesn't really give you well done toast
4.0 out of 5 stars Toaster good
Only criticism is the sliced bread doesn't fit in perfectly. The toaster could be a bit deeper. Besides that it works well.
5.0 out of 5 stars As described
Quick delivery and as described and works perfectly fine
5.0 out of 5 stars Toaster
It does toast
1.0 out of 5 stars Really badly designed
You would do better to buy a toasting fork and make toast over a couple of candles, as you'll get a better result. The toaster can't take 4 standard slices of bread as standing them up (Pic1) means a quarter of the slice doesn't get any heat (Pic2). Even lying them down sideways (Pic 3), doesn't help as part of the slice is still above the elements when the lever is depressed all the way down. Then the elements don't give a uneven heat which, combined with the height means you get parts that are burned, parts that are okay, and parts that aren't toasted at all (Pic 4)Despite its advertised claim, the only way four pieces of bread will go in sideways, is if you squish them up, which leads to wonky toast, that I can't eat as the marmalade keeps falling off. I have no idea whether this was designed for small loaves, such as you might find on the continent, but British loaf sizes were certainly not taken into account. So, now I'm looking for a British toaster as this one is heading for the dustbin. That was a waste of money.
3.0 out of 5 stars If you like this toaster (or not) may depend on the following:
No push-up function so very small bits of bread may be hard to extract without burning your fingers. No warming rack, so you cant heat croissants or other things that wont fit in the slotsThe slots are fairly wide but - just as an example - a Lidl Pretzel won’t fit.The slots aren’t especially deep but you can always turn bread on its side if its too tall for the slots.More positively:its a competitively priced product IMOIt toasts wellIt doesn’t look cheap or nasty (IMHO - at least the black version)I’ve not tried this yet, but there’s a re-heat button, which I assume reheats cold toast without turning it black!in summary: OK for the money.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great toaster !!!
A stylish and affordable toaster that does the job.Looks good in my kitchen, nice and fast and toasts really well, catches all the crumbs and is easy to clean. The timer and temperature knobs works fine, stop buttons work perfect. What more can you ask for ?? I'm really happy with this toaster !!! Thanks !!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Does not take large slices.
Large slices are too big for the toaster depth. Not the best control of toasting. Got to keep an eye on the cooking as liable to burn even with temperature settings.
