    I thought is was about time to regularly check my sugar levels due to my dad having been diagnosed with diabetes when he was 60. I’m now 60 so want to keep an eye on things.The unit itself is very easy to use, I kept the needle set at number 3 which was fine. I performed two tests over 24 hours (first thing in the morning on an empty stomach) and both readings were 5.5. Happy with this unit and will continue to test monthly. The unit comes with a nice carry case, test strips and batteries. Good price and fast delivery from Bolo. One of my best purchases for value for money.

    This well made devices comes in a very neat little case making it easy to pack and take with you. The sensor has a good, easy read screen and the ability to store previous results which is great when discussing glucose levels with your health care advisor. The lancet has an adjustable cap to control the length of the lancet to ensure it only pierces as far as it needs and to minimise discomfort. Full instructions enclosed. Appears to be of excellent quality and consumables such as test strips and lancets are readily available to order on Bolo. Very pleased with the simplicity of use.

    This genuinely saved a close relatives life! It maxes out at 33.3 and them just shows 'HI' like many other machines (even our local hospitals) does. Functions well. The monitor is easy to use, however the finger pricking pen is fiddly for thick/arthritic fingers or for those not all that savvy memory wise. Very very good value for money. Once blood is applied it counts down from 10seconds so the BM level appears very quickly and is accurate. Nice carry case too.

    Works well and it's easy to use but couldn't set up date and time, instructions not accurate and machine won't respond. Also, could have a bigger bag to keep things together, the pouch provided is good but small.

    I’m not a diabetic but with a family history wanted to monitor myself. Have had it a few days now, easy to use and set up. Comes with test strips, finger prick device and needles, instructions and batteries. Did my first test within 1 minute of getting it out of the box. The only thing what wasn’t immediately clear was putting the drop of blood on the test strip, you don’t put the drop of blood on top, you kind of touch the droplet with the end of the strip so it gets sucked up into the strip. Unit also gives you your 7 day, 14 day and monthly average which is handy to build a picture of longer term.

    Im not a medical person, but this is so easy to use. Readings appear accurate. Also can log your results to get feedback over a period of time.Would recommend.

    Capillary tests (home finger prick tests) has an error range of about 1mmol plus or minus, which is quite significant so does not replace lab testing and or proper monitoring otherwise by other means, with that in mind, this product is much better than my old one I was considering replacing for quite some time now, I like that it's in mmol rather than mg, I enjoy using it as it does not need a lot of blood so pricking is less painful if you have to do it a lot, so i would buy again when my monitor does of old age, hope ill be able to use it for many years to come

    If only I could give this seven out of ten.The device itself works perfectly. Simple to set up. Comes complete with fifty tests. A pen and needles for pricking a digit and drawing blood.Lost two stars because the strips are in a plastic container (good!) but the needles are in a weak and flimsy cardboard box.The needles for the gun should be properly boxed for safety so they are not dropping all over the place should the box become damaged. I dread to think if someone's child picked one up.Other than that it's good
