The scales are great - and never need batteries. I have mine in a light bathroom but away from direct sunlight and they still hold full charge well.The bluetooth connection has been frustrating, but I think I might have cracked it.Once you pair the scales with bluetooth on iPhone it connects with the Renpho app. Then when you stand on the scales with the app open, it is supposed to connect and record your weight on the app.In practice this has been frustrating. Stand on the scales, the bluetooth symbol on the scales flashes and you wait for the app to connect and register your weight. However most times the bluetooth symbol on the scales stays flashing and the app doesn't connect. Then the display on the scales turns off after a few seconds to save the internal solar-powered battery. So you stand on the scales again, again it doesn't connect.What I tried:I tried unpairing and re-pairing the scales with the app - this didn't make much difference. If you delete the app from your phone and then reinstall it, you will lose your saved data, and I didn't want to do that.I tried turning off bluetooth on the phone and turning it back on again - this didn't seem to do much good.What would often work is turning off the phone and rebooting it, then quite often the scales would connect, but it's frustrating - you strip naked to weigh, and then are standing there naked trying to get the scales to connect, and then have to wait while the phone reboots.What was curious was that I have a Renpho Bluetooth tape measure and this connects EVERY TIME without fail, so I didn't think it was the app's problem.In frustration I contacted Renpho Support convinced I had received a faulty scale which I wanted to return for a replacement. I am not convinced my unit is fault-free even now.They suggested trying some of the things I had already tried, but a key piece of information was being told that turning bluetooth off and on from my phone would make no difference because the bluetooth connection is managed through the app, rather than via bluetooth in the iPhone settings.What works now: I have discovered that I need to unload the app before trying to connect - so that it is not running in the background. So before weighing myself I unload the app (swipe up until you can switch between apps, then swipe up on the Renpho app to unload it so that it is not running in the background.) Then I open the app afresh, then stand on the scales. So far it has always connected - sometimes it has taken two attempts - standing on the scales until the display on the scales turns off, then stepping off the scales and back onto the scales again. Then it connects on the second attempt if it didn't on the first attempt. I can live with that - it's just a bit finicky.I now understand that rebooting the iPhone wasn't always helping, as when you reboot the iPhone whatever apps that were running in the background might reload themselves in the background, so the app itself has not been unloaded and restarted. So rebooting the iPhone did not always work.Since I received the additional info from Renpho about how the app works, I have understood it a bit more, and as I am an IT Support technician and troubleshooting IT issues is my job, I stuck at it. I like to get technology to work as it was intended. But boy has it been a wrestling match!In sum - I love the fact that the scales are solar powered and I should never have to replace batteries. But the bluetooth connection has not been great and maybe there is a problem with my unit - I don't know. The tape measure works immediately every time and this is the experience I was expecting.Now when I come to weigh myself I unload and reopen the Renpho app in preparation and this seems to be the key to getting it to work. A bit of a hassle.Knowing what I know now I would probably opt for the scales powered by three AAA batteries (I could use rechargeable ones) and hope that the display will stay on for longer when I stand on the scales and the bluetooth connection to the iPhone Renpho app is better.if you want to get the solar powered scales I hope you don't have the same experience I had.Otherwise the scales are great, the data syncs with Apple Health, you can track your weight journey easily and track trends if you weigh regularly. I weigh every day and the app shows me my progress over time. You can add other family members to the app and track their weights also. When my wife weighs herself (and is not interested in tracking her own weight but wants me to track it for her) i find that when I open her profile the app will import her data. The scales remembers her weight from previous times she has weighed and then silently transmits her data to the app when I connect to the app while weighing myself. The app also "intelligently assigns" her data to her profile - as it can tell the difference between as we are different weights. This is quite neat the way it works.Overall I love the scales - amazing value for money and the app is excellent - it's just been a bit of a pain to get it to work acceptably.

This is the second RENPHO scale I have bought, and I am just as impressed as I was with the first one. My previous scale lasted a good five years before it stopped working, likely due to moisture from being in the bathroom.The scales are accurate, easy to use, and sync seamlessly with the app. The app is fantastic — it tracks everything from weight to other body metrics, making it easy to monitor progress over time. The Bluetooth connection is quick and reliable, and the data layout in the app is simple to follow.I highly recommend these scales for anyone looking for a reliable, smart option for tracking their body metrics.

Really good set of scales, I’m quite overweight and tall - but they take my weight and are a perfect fit. If you move the scales you just need to step on it and off for it to recalculate, which does really quickly, otherwise you can just step on them to weigh yourself.I really like the app. It connected really easily And you just tap on it to say you want to measure your weight and it shows you what your scales are saying. It’s got some nice features especially being able to manually put in historical data and a really good goal setting feature that shows percentage achieved in a pie chart which is nice to see. Some really great features in measuring different aspects such as bone density, muscle mass et cetera, beyond what other apps have done in the past.I wanted to link my historical weight to my goals (rather than the default one on the day of me setting the goal ) and I contacted Customer Services - they were extremely helpful, polite and replied within minutes. They sent some helpful screenshots and even thanked my thank you! Email! I would recommend this company based on their Customer Services alone - but glad to say that the scales and the app are also really good!

Gostei muito da balança e do aplicativo. Hoje vou fazer a comparação com as métricas da balança do médico, mas acredito que não haverá muita discrepância. Recomendo!

Wow, no suelo escribir opiniones pero el producto lo merece. La acabo de recibir hoy pero a primeras impresiones está excelente. Precio muy económico y la calidad del producto es muy buena. Lo que más me gustó fue la facilidad de uso y la App; funciona muy bien y en 3 segundos ya estaba conectada por Bluetooth. Pensaba que iba ser la típica app China que no funciona bien y ni te dan ganas de usar pero todo lo contrario. Funciona muy bien, te da muchos datos, gráficas, tips y también se sincroniza con Apple Health, que es algo que me interesaba mucho. Muy contento con la compra!
Nice Scale, Lots of Features
I've been using this scale for about 1 month and I can say, it works well. Its very thin and lightweight. I can easily kick it under the vanity when I'm done with it, or pull it out when I need it. The surface is flat glass and is easy to clean.I also like the app. It was easy to install and connects without problems via blue tooth to my phone. I like keeping track of my daily weight and body fat and watching the trends. It makes the whole process very easy.I'd recommend this scale to anyone!
