Lovely, perfect for the purpose of my purchase.I would say this is more of an aesthetic book stand. While it is a good weight, I’m not sure how stable it would be if it was handled all the time.Wonderful addition to a bookcase.

Lovely item. Once assembled which was a little awkward it does the job. The weight strings were not equal but a pair of scissors did the trick. Good value for money and an attractive item.

The book stand arrived and when assembled, did not sit straight as the rear bracket was bent! Seller refunded pitiful amount rather than being returned as I am a pensioner and don't want hassle of returning a heavy item. Would not recommend!!

Its a little loose but if you keep the circle stopper things on but I'm sure if you remove them it'll be properly be secure and tight and its cast iron and painted to look like an antique perfect for what I need it for as it goes with the theme
