5.0 out of 5 stars Looks good up to now
I've only just received this bag so this is by no means a comprehensive review but more of a "First impressions" comment - hence just the 4 stars so far. Out of the box this is quite impressive and looks far better quality than the photos and price on the Bolo listing would suggest. It's a very well thought out bag, maybe a tad "faffy" to get at your gear in a hurry via the rear access flap but the pay off is that your gear is pretty well protected. For the exterior size of the bag it's capable of swallowing up a fair bit of kit - far more than my similar sized Lowepro does, but if I'm honest this one's not as well padded as the much more expensive Lowepro. I am going to put a bit more reinforcement inside the bag at the bottom as it doesn't feel too substantial there. It's not dreadful but I just feel it could do with a bit more in the way of protection as that's where one of the lenses will sit.I bought this purely as a bag to use as carry-on luggage for a flight to Canada from the UK, the Lowepro is just outside of the max size allowed for the airline I'm using (Icelandair). It would most likely have been allowed but I didn't want to risk them refusing it and making the bag go in the hold. This bag with the limited amount of camera gear I'm taking (i'm being loaned a tripod over in Canada) weighs 5.8 kg so it's well inside the size and weight limit. The best feature of this bag is going to be the roll top - this allows the bag to be made within the right dimensions to be used as carry-on luggage but when I get to my destination it'll transform into a much bigger one that will carry my wet weather gear - and maybe even a few bits to nibble on along the way I'll update this review on my return after Ihe bag has been subjected to the rigours of the long return journey with a roadtrip and a fair bit of hiking in between, but first impressions of the bag are very favourable given the price. There have been a few reviews that have commented on the zips breaking, but this seems to be a common trend across most of these budget priced bags, so I'll keep an eye on those and report back in a few weeks as this thing is going to be really put through it's paces so I guess we'll see how it holds up..... But so far, I like it.Edit ......Update 07/10/2023. I've now used this bag for my trip to Canada from the UK and spent a couple of weeks trekking around Vancouver Island with it. It's been chucked about in cars, buses, on muddy trials and wet grass etc and spent the 4 flights (with layovers in Iceland) there and back stashed under an airplane seat with my feet on it for a total of over 20 hours flying time. It's been rained on, subjected to warm sunlight and even taken out to sea on a small boat for 5 hours and splashed with salt water. It certainly doesn't look new anymore but it's stood up well to a lot abuse and nothing's failed on it. All the zips still work ok as do the straps etc. This bag is worth every penny of the price, it's an absolute bargain and I'm now going to use it as my main bag instead of my far more expensive Lowepro. I love this bag. Coincidentally I was walking a trail on the west coast of the island and heard an American voice behind me .."We share the same taste in camera bags" I turned around there was a really nice lady with the same bag so we got into a lengthy conversation about all things photography and she was saying she loved hers as well. My only gripe with the bag - and it's very minor - is the the zips on the inside flap are a tad small and fiddly but now I'm home I'm going to get some small carabinas to loop through them. I've now upgraded my review to 5 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Camera Bag (£100 Budget)
So I went and ordered this camera bag, I have seen a few small youtubers reviewing this bag and saw what features it had to offer, I've had a few hit and miss with bags in the past and some of those where well over a £100.However, with this bag I can confidently say that it rivals even bags at double the price! the build quality is a 5/5 and you can tell that the company that produced this bag really cares about the quality. I've had Manfrotto bags costing upwards of £150 that are not as robust as this bag.The ability to organise all your camera gear is very good. the dividers are high quality, probably the best quality dividers out of all the bags I own. the bag is comfortable especially when filled to the brim due to the straps and supports being very good quality. obviously this may differ on the person but for me, even when its 12-15kg heavy, it was still comfortable.the ability to get into your bag without having to open their entire thing up is also a cool feature that i wish a lot of other manufactures would do with their bags. such as the small compartment above the divider sections for your gear. because of this I can easily access my batteries for my DJI drone and Sony A7rmk4there is on negative that I think many people would agree with. and that is some of the zippers are quite small so I think most people would have to buy some high quality string to be able to grab these zips, and they do blend in so sometimes you're tying to find these zips as because they are black and small they blend in with the black bagoverall I think this bag is a very good quality camera backpack that rivals bags in the £200 price range. and for the price I think its the best bag that I own. and trust me I own a lot of camera bags.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing until it fails - update, super service
First of all I love this bag. It s actually the perfect size for cabin size luggage (the free kind with easy jet) if that matters to you.One thing I m not a fan of would be the flat front pocket which limits how it could be used. Other thing would be the durability of the straps. One of mine failed after a few uses. Not happy with that and will check warranty.Based on other reviews it seems I m unlucky.I really like the look and form factor and the straps make it easy to carry additional load such as a tripod.Highly recommended although I put a large question mark over durability.Update - I contacted the company and they responded swiftly and are sending a replacement. The process was super simple and it s great to see they are making it easy for the customers. Highly recommended
4.0 out of 5 stars I like it.
'been using it for a week niw. I have no complaints. I like it. All in all, it's a good camera bag. Good quality. The inner padding is removable, the bag can then be used as a regular backpack for travelling. I give it a 4.5 out of 5, only because the price was a little bit on the high side but still cheaper than a Wandrd.Shipping time and condition of the item were very good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Product
What a bag this is. I have been using it now for about six months and haven't been disappointed. I mainly use it to carry my OM System M 4/3 system for day hiking. I also use it for Canon DSLR. I have carried two cameras and five lens ranging from 17-600mm (35mm). Also i carry extension tubes, lens adapters, filters and holders and some small accessories. Waterproofs a flask and some sandswiches. Also a couple of beers.Loads of room.Have even miimised my camera gear and Bivved out overnight with sleeping bag, mattress, and bivvy bag all carried by this bag. Just wish there was another inch on the roll top belt connector but apart from that it's just brillant.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible access from the side
It's a little big heavy weight
Perfect in many ways
I've taken this bag on a couple of gigs and just returned from a trip with it. Performed really well. Carried the entire gear load for an event shoot on the subway. Prefect as a carry-on for a flight, with 13" MacBook Air. Fits under plane seat and the fold out top is great for keeping a clothing layer handy. Quality is holding up and easily accessible for grabbing gear. Can fold the straps under the baggage strap. Couldn't be happier with it.
Super goede ruime rugzak
Mega begeistert
