Very nice fruit tarts with shortbread base. Best served warm with cream.
4.0 out of 5 stars They're pretty fechan good
My wife is Canadian and misses being able to buy butter tarts, so I bought her these after hearing they were the closest thing you could get in the UK. While that's not exactly the case due to the fruit mixed into the tarts, they're still pretty tasty, especially if you take the box's advice and pop them in the microwave (minus the foil!) for 15 seconds to make them just a wee bit warm. Recommended.

Moreish Scottish tarts

These cakes are lovely and I do like to offer them at my house, they are a little overpriced for what they are but the taste does make up for that.
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious Ecclefechan Tarts
My Sister and I enjoy these tarts but can rarely find them the local shops so I was pleased to find these. I gave some to my Sister as a stocking filler and she was delighted. These were a good price and the quick delivery was great. Great quality and delicious.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very tasty and nice for the holidays.
Ecclefechan tarts were often had at my Scottish grandparents house at Christmas time along with mince pies. I actually prefer these to the pies as they are open with a thin shortcrust pastry. You don't really see them very often "south of the border" so I was happy to find them. They are of very good quality, but not quite as good as home made. That being said, they are much less fuss than making the yourself.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
Great tasting tarts from Walkers . . . straight from Scotland! Ecclefechan tarts are referred to as "border tarts," meaning from the Scottish border . . . and the name is roughly translated by some as "little church." Try them slightly warmed (20 seconds in the microwave) and serve with vanilla ice cream!***NOTE: Do not forget to take the tarts out of their aluminum tins before putting the tarts in the microwave! : )
delicious
The hardest thing with these tarts is not to eat them all at one sitting.
Tasty
Brother prefers these.
Item arrived completely smashed
I opened the box just to find a mess of crumbs...
Shipping envelope totally inadequate
These are delicious BUT they were shipped in an envelope!! The box they are in is very flimsy- the same as if they were on a grocery shelf . They were battered! Too expensive to ship like that!!
