5.0 out of 5 stars Great little coffee maker just enough for one cup
This is a great little coffee maker just enough for one cupI have limited space and this is very compact fits easily into the spaceIt makes one cup of coffee very quickly I tend to put my milk into the microwave to warm at the same timeThe only issue I have is it does drip for a little time after it’s finished I just put a bit of kitchen towel under the cup before brewing I have still given 5 stars even with this small issueGreat value for money easy to use and clean and ideal for one person
5.0 out of 5 stars Such a great buy
This is a fantastic coffee maker, and great value compared to others available. I’ve had mine 9 months and make a breakfast travel mug, then wash out the strainer for a decaf at night. What I like is you use ground coffee in the filter, not expensive or disposable pods. It’s a lo-fi but highly effective gadget, much quicker and easier to clean than the stove-top pots.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little machine but sent it back
A little plasticky and light weight but a nice little machine all the same. The problem for me was that out 3 cups made 2 came up very short. I ended up having to stop / start the machine to get it working properly. Not the greatest start to the day or something you want to be doing at 3:30am. Other than that it was easy to program, the timer function worked perfectly and the coffee that came out was very hot. From other reviews, a one off hiccup with an odd machine I'm sure. I just went back to my tried and tested machine in the kitchen.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely little machine
I have quite a small kitchen so my old coffee filter machine was just too big. I like decent coffee, but I'm not keen on the pod machines so was really pleased when I found this. Does a large cup of coffee or 2 small cups. Quick and easy to clean, looks good on the counter while taking up very little space. Only had it a week so hopefully it proves to be robust, but delighted so far.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works really well
Simple to use with minimal fuss. Easy to clean. Brews great coffee.
3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but not perfect!
Ordered this in the spring sale and pleased I did not pay full price for it.Good things about it are that it does make a decent cup of coffee in a short time - I prefer the mokka pot but sometimes don’t have 11–12mins to wait for it! This machine takes 3-4mins. Another useful feature is the water markings in the water chamber so you can easily see which of the three sizes you are pouring and these are aligned with standard coffee cup sizing which is also helpful. The filter is easy to clean and it is pretty compact so ideal for a small kitchen. My biggest annoyance with it is the dripping and splashing! It continues to drip for a very long time after the coffee is made so requires a piece of kitchen roll in the base to drip on. It also seems to splash a lot when making the drink, regardless of mug size so always needs a wipe over the kitchen surface after it has finished.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great little machine!
I use this everyday to make a cup of coffee to take to work. It’s a great gadget for the money and makes coffee to suit whatever strength you require. At the weekends I use this machine to brew a single mug of coffee, perking straight into the mug. It’s easy to clean and use. I have bought several of these as gifts.
1.0 out of 5 stars Makes coloured water with a hint of coffee.
We bought this on a camping trip in the UK when we discovered our Senseo had broken (probably frost had burst the reservoir over the winter in the caravan). Since we had several weeks' supply of Senseo coffee pads with us, we chose this one as it seemed to be a reasonable alternative and used the same pads.We tried everything to get it to produce the coffee we were used to from the Senseo pads, but concluded that it was never going to work as there was no way of squeezing the water through the coffee under any kind of pressure. In the end we gave up on the coffee pads and loaded it as full as possible with ground coffee. The result was messy and still pretty weak. We can only assume that the pleasant chap on YouTube who did a thorough 'unboxing' review likes his coffee extremely weak! This year we left this coffee maker at home and brought my sister-in-law's spare temperamental magimix with us that uses nespresso cups - the fact that I disapprove of all the metal cups (and that you sometimes need to fiddle a bit to get it to grab hold of the little cup) is far outweighed by the fact that it does actually make coffee.
