The Rapid Defrost Tray from GLOW solves this common problem by allowing you to defrost frozen food up to 10x faster than at room temperature, without the need for electricity, chemicals or heating! In fact, the tray will be completely cool to the touch! Simply place the defrost tray onto your kitchen counter and add your frozen food to the top. Making use of some simply marvellous physics, the Rapid Defrost Tray from GLOW uses the conductive qualities of aluminium to warm up frozen foods more quickly at room temperature, meaning they defrost in a fraction of the time usually needed.
Defrosting times will vary depending on the thickness of the meat but on average it will take between 30 and 60 minutes, much quicker than leaving in the fridge which can take 24hrs to fully defrost and quicker and safer than at normal room temperature, which can take 10 hours. Some approximate examples would be Bacon Slices (25mins), Sausages (30mins), Pork or Lamp Chops (60mins), Chicken Breasts (80mins). I had to admit I was a sceptic when my wife ordered this, but I was wrong - it really does speed up defrosting frozen food very effectively. Easy to clean, and it get stored along with the chopping boards so it's out of the way too.
