It is very very loud. I bought it to go with a Police Academy theme so the memory card and aux are great for playing music. My girlfriend loves it so much I had to take it off her before she deafened someone with it. It is also fantastic for calling the teenage kids down for dinner (they really love that...not!). I read a lot of comments about there not being a charger in the box for the rechargeable battery. There isn't one in the box but if you read the instructions it uses a simple shaver adapter which you can pick up for a couple of quid.

nice and loud, can easily drown out less powerful ones. It's quite big so it's a bit of an item to lug about to a venue. Has useful bits like usb slot etc, decent strap which makes it nice to carry when actually using it..Easy to use but giving it 4* because of it's size. The big pain is that mine was supplied with a rechargable battery pack but NO CHARGER for it! Extremely annoying. It will take C batteries though theses are pretty pricey. I'm still on the original pack a few months after purchase but I'm probably only on 2 or so hours of use so cant advise how long they'll last. Would have been 5* if supplied with a battery charger

This megaphone was fine, did the job and whatnot, but just stopped working out of nowhere, conveniently the day after the return period ran out. Now I'm stuck with this megaphone that doesn't work..

First, it's a pain in the @$$ to load the batteries (not supplied) into the plastic sleeves required to insert them into the battery compartment. Second, if you get just one of those the wrong way round you will FRY the electronics, and your first warning will be a nasty burning smell. Utterly crass, poor design. AVOID.
