I used this vacuum pump to bleed a brake sytem on a recreational aircraft that I could not bleed properly with a standard pressure bleeder. Once I got the vacuum pumps set up properly with a good air tight seal at the brake bleed nipple it efficiently pulled the trapped air out of the brake system.The vacuum pump worked well but like other reviewers I found the rubber connectors that fit onto the bleed nipple leaked badly. I solved the problem by using a short length of silicone tube to connect from the vacuum device bleed pipe onto the caliper bleed nipple. I also found it necessary to seal the thread on the bleed nipple with PTFE tape to stop the vacuum device pulling air along the bleed nipple thread.So in summary a bit of a faff to set up but it then quickly bled the air out of a system that proved impossible to bleed with a standard pressure bleeding kit. Money well spent even if it only ever gets used on this one job. I downgraded the rating from 5 to 4 because an otherwise excellent kit was let down by the leaky rubber connectors provided with the kit.

This product does the job very easily, but you need to be patient and learn how to use it properly. Watch some YouTube videos on how to bleed your brakes to ensure you are doing it correctly. It requires some pressure when you are pumping it with the attachments. I used the smallest attachment for my Honda CBR 400 RR, and it worked quite well. No air bubbles.Apply some pressure with your thumb when you are pumping and keep the pressure with your fingers when you are releasing the brake nipple. Do it slowly and gently. Pump, release, pump, release. It takes some time, but it works 100%. Make sure to keep the pressure between 20 and 30 bars on the meter and don't go below 10 for best results.

Did the job of being a 3rd hand I was able to bleed both brakes in less than 15mins also it can be used to remove fork oil without removing the forks off the bike and if you mark the tube you can set the correct air gap very handy tool.

I did have high hopes for this product (having read some good reviews here). It's a great price, well presented in its plastic box and has good instructions. .... but that's where it ends! In practice, it's absolutely hopeless!Although it does pull & hold a vacuum, the primary problem seems to be that air leaks past any bleed screw thread when loosened instantly killing the vacuum. Other reviewers mention problems getting the plastic caps to seal on the bleed nipples. Yes, this is true, but, even if you dispense with the caps & just push the plastic pipe DIRECTLY onto the nipple, it still suffers with air leaking past the bleed screw threads.Also, it's not particularly clear how to seat the seal in its reservoir. I'm sure many purchasers have failed to get a vacuum just because of this one issue!!After 3 attempts to get this thing to work, I eventually gave up & used a conventional gravity bleed technique using my own piping into a glass jar!!Unit has since been returned for a refund.Now considering a more expensive master cyl. pressurised system.Vacuuming just doesn't work!

Very hard to get a good seal, let's air back into the system rather than maintaining vacuum. Attachments are hard to fit and don't provide a good seal. Somehow managed to get fluid in the actual pump which leaked out and caused a mess in the case. It'll work in a pinch but it's less hassle just to have a 2nd person with you to bleed the brakes the old fashioned way. It's a shame because these tools can work great, but the quality isn't good enough to be practical in terms of using it regularly.

Quite cheap and cheerful, but does the job. Quickly helped me find a split hose into the brake vacuum booster. Probably saved me several hundreds of pounds by not taking it in to mercedes.

Snel en op tijd geleverd.Ik had moeite om de koppeling van mijn Astra J te ontluchten, de twee man methode ging niet, motor laten draaien en pompen ging ook niet.De vacuum handpomp op zich werkt zéér goed, maar... het bokaaltje is véél te klein, de meegeleverde koppelstukken sluiten niet af, de meegeleverde slangen komen gemakkelijk los, gelukkig had ik nog waterslangen van een aquarium en heb ik de job perfect kunnen uitvoeren.Ah, en...het kunstof bokaal zit vol braam, dat is een fout van de spuitgietmatrijs of foute parameters bij het spuitgieten in de fabriek.Als deze kwaliteit punten opgelost zoude geraken zou dit een juweel zijn.
