Bought this for my 11 year old daughter to take to school as her previous bottle was developing mould around the mouthpiece. What a great bottle!! Arrived following day before 1.00pm, in fact before 9.00am!! Beautiful packaging!! Easy to use!! Great quality!! And.. above all.. my daughter loves it!! In fact she drinks from it all the time and is more hydrated than ever!! It may be a bit pricey but worth it in my mind!! Also bought the carry sleeve from Larq's own website which fits like a glove around the bottle!! Highly recommended!! A+++

Took it on holiday last week. Filled it up with water from public fountains and tap water from bars and cafes . It kept the water cold and there was no after taste once the water is treated.
1.0 out of 5 stars Paint on the inside of bottle cap started to peel off
I bought this bottle in June 2020. I liked the design and the self cleaning mechanism. However, after a year the paint on the inside of the cap is starting to peel off. It seemed this was due to the water on the inside which makes the paint swell up. Little bits of paint were then getting into the water inside the bottle which is a real health concern. If you look at the photo big chunks then came off. This looks to be a design fault, i.e. why is there blue paint on the inside of the cap.? I only had the bottle for a year but am disappointed that this happened and means I can't use it anymore. I contacted LARQ but after much back and forth and initially promising they would sent me a new cap they said I bought the bottle from an "unauthorised retailer", i.e. I bought the bottle of Bolo marketplace and not directly from them. They did not admit that this was a serious health risk or design flaw and in the end only offered me a 35% discount on a new purchase. A new cap would have been £40 after applying the discount. Very disappointing. Given I paid £100 for this bottle I must say this was not worth the money.

Here are my comments as a professional microbiologist.We bought this bottle primarily because we're off to Mexico where drinking water quality is highly unreliable. Even bottled water can be seriously contaminated with microbes in this country. It's not supposed to exceed 500 culturable E. coli-like cells ('coliforms') per 100 ml of water but one study found 23,000 coliforms per 100 ml.The bottle is nicely designed - sufficiently streamlined so as not to get snagged on stuff in backpacks and probably robust enough to survive a few knocks as it's mostly made of steel. When all is said and done, however, it's just a sturdy vacuum flask with a UV lamp built into the stopper. It's claimed that the UV light 'neutralizes up to 99% of bacteria'. This sounds impressive but if you were unlucky enough to start with bottled water that had 23,000 coliforms in 100 ml (see above) then you'd still ingest more than a couple of hundred after the bottle had done its UV zapping. Bear in mind that microbes such as E. coli can double in number in around 20 minutes under optimal conditions so UV irradiation reduces - but doesn't eliminate - microbe contamination.The other concern is the power of the UV lamp in the bottle, which LARQ doesn't state. Disease-causing microbes such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia are covered in layers that protect them from low power UV lamps. This means that they might not be inactivated by the water purification system used in this bottle.In short, this bottle is better than nothing but LARQ's rather hyped claims need to be treated with a hefty pinch of salt.

This is a well made water bottle and it keeps the water cold with a few ice cubes for along time. The fact it kills unseen bacteria in water with its uv light is an added bonus.

I have been using the bottle regularly for over three weeks now and there is definitely no need to clean it - the cleaning system works perfectly and seems to be safe, fast and silent. Did not notice that water has a different taste and was really pleasantly surprised for how long the bottle keeps the warmth if you pour in something heated.Also, dropped it on the floor already a few times and still everything works properly so it is clearly highly durable.Love the color and the design - overall quite satisfied with the bottle and the experience.

For a while I was very content with my purchase, however recently there have been several product issues which have led to me reviewing this item a poor 2/5.I purchased this product in September 2021 with a 2 year warrantee. At the beginning of this year, around February, the Larq Vis Cap began flashing red and stopped working. I reached out to Larq and they said that when that happens, you need to buy a new one which costs €69. Seeing as the warrantee expired a few months earlier, I was left without a choice so I went ahead and bought a new Cap which brought my original €136 investment up to €205.A few months later I began to experience a strange taste with my water and as a result I noticed that there where several black spots all over the bottom interior of the bottle (see pics). I reached out to Larq and they gave me some advice on removing them however after trying several times the spots remained as did the unpleasant taste. I must note that I only ever drank water from the following sources: Bottled Water, H20 & Reverse Osmosis, all clean water sources. Once again, I was advised that my bottle is no longer under warrantee and I would therefore need to buy a new Larq Bottle Twist Top. This was a little bit cheaper since I already had the cap, priced at €35 with a 10% discount that Larq offered as a goodwill gesture, therefore a total of €31.50.This would have brought my total investment up to €236.50, which is simply way too much for a bottle that eventually loses quality almost as fast as bottles that cost between €40-€50. Given the fast rate of decline in product quality, it would be way more worth it to simply buy a new middle of the range bottle each year.Overall I am extremely disappointed in the product and will not be buying anymore Larq products any time soon.
Works as advertised
Super compact, nice and small but mighty. Works well and is a great replacement for my larger, corded version. Recommend.
It actually makes water taste crisp and odorless
I’ve watched an episode of Shark Tank with the Larq self cleaning water bottle pitch. I was a bit skeptical and curious about the product. But out of all my water bottles in the past, they all have this funky smell if you leave them in the shelf for too long. I ended up buying more water bottles when one of them started to smell funky.Just received the bottle last night and I have been start drinking water out of it. Out of the package, the mouth of the bottle has a rubbery smell and metallic smell too. So I rinsed it with hot boiling water. After dumping the hot water out, I quickly pour filtered Brita water into the bottle and started the uv light sanitizing cycle. In my experience, the normal mode is not strong enough. I can still taste the water a little funny like chlorine aftertastes. So I double tap the lid and initiate the adventure mode for 3 minutes. Still not good enough. I ended up repeating the adventure mode 3 more times.The chlorine taste completely vanishes.No more weird rubbery and metallic smell from the bottle lip. However, the saliva smell around the rim of the bottle lip does come back from time to time. Since, the UV light cannot directly hit the out rim of the lip, you will have to clean it manually from a wet paper towel...So I leave the bottle overnight, and every 2 hours, it automatically self cleaning for 10 seconds. At the end of the day. The water tastes even more refreshing! I imagine iced water would even taste better like cold spring water close to Evian!I will see if this bottle will continue to please me over the months to come!A little bit pricey but I tend to support the original inventor as they are more experienced in the product they invented. If you can afford the original creator’s self cleaning water bottle, I say go for it. Don’t support the copycats out there. I was surprised that Philip the electronic giant also launched a self cleaning water bottle. It’s slightly less expensive but I still go for Larq as they are the original inventor!update: a single charge will last around 4-5 days. The company claims a single charge will last for a month. However, during my single charge, I used adventure mode quite repetitively and that may be the sole reason that it didn't last long enough as it claims it should: 30 days.My second charge would try to use the adventure mode as little as possible and to see if it could last much longer.

Excellent produit
Je ne bois que dans cette gourde que ce soit à la maison, en déplacement ou en randonée. C'est ultra efficace (ça ne sent JAMAIS) dans la gourde même sans nettoyer. C'est stérile et ça se sent. Par ailleurs on doit très peu la recharger ce qui est un excellent point. La matière et la prise en main son vraiment super....Le seul point noir au tableau c'est le micro USB : pas d'USB type-C.

Súper sencilla de usar y cumple las expectativas. El agua sabe a limpia. Pesa un poco pero normal porque es reforzada para mantener el frío y calor. Merece la pena!
