How it works For centuries, natural mineral salts (what’s known as crystal deodorant) have been used to prevent body odour. One of these natural salts, potassium alum, is the main active ingredient in Salt of the Earth’s Lavender & Vanilla natural deodorant for women, men, and kids. For many years I have used sprays and roll on for my underarm. Then something changed. As I do reviews for testing on the Bolo Vine programme, I have come to the conclusion, my skin is changing, with trailing products.So I have used for years an array of perfumed sprays good makes and same for roll ons. Then when I started using a lot of natural slightly perfumed products including organic my body noticed. When I ran out of under arm which was natural, the perfumed unnatural sprays and roll ons made my skin crawl, became sore, very itchy. My husband stated our skin was used to natural products, going back to heavy scented roll ons really played havoc, as the skin wasn’t used to it.So I did weeks of reading reviews on Bolo for something that was perfumed slightly but natural, and the scent was oil based, so was natural or organic.I came across leaping Bunny salt of the earth roll on. This is a Vegan product, 100% natural, very gentle on our skin, and made from essential oils and aloe Vera, which is pure bliss.I choose the Melon and cucumber which smells gorgeous, I picked this so me and hubby could use together. We like so much that now buying on subscribe and save. You do save as well from currently £5.49 to £4.67. The thing is with S&S I can choose how often I want it and arrives the same day as the rest of my S&S Items.The roll on dries exceedingly quick if used correctly. How we use, put the rollerball bottom of armpit and only one roll of the ball to the top of the armpit. I know people use the roller ball up and down the armpit, then wonder why the armpit stays wet longer. From down to up, or top to bottom of the armpit, one stroke or roll is all you need. The armpit is wet, so from there on in, protecting odour for hours.After a wash, shower, or bath, the roll on popped on, and dried within seconds.The scent is mild, but can certainly smell the oils of cucumber and melon. Works best on clean underarms, not smelly pits that haven’t been washed.This fragrance has been created with 15 natural botanical extracts and oils, so flows effortlessly on the skin.No chemicals, no testing on fur babies.One important thing to mention, I wore black the other day, and no white sweat patches or discolouration of my blouse.Most have a scent in this range, however there is a natural non scented salt of the earth roll on.I always preferred good makes of underarm sprays one favourite Gillette or Dove roll on the thick stick kind. However going back to them when I ran out of the natural roll on, was torture with itching as previously mentioned.Another good thing, I can feel how much is left.No half measures, the bottle is full as far as it can and feels suitably heavy.This product is made here in the UKThe whole roll on is 75 mlThe rollerball itself is smaller than usual shop bought, so no wastageMulti award winning, and I can see why, gorgeous, cheap and no odours after 12 hours of wearing.Had a shower, used salt of the earth, went to a gig, no odour even after jigging about and getting hot in the arena.My friend uses this, she has a medical problem and bless her, always had odour, no amount of washing, roll ons or sprays, even medicated from her GP worked. She loves this and no more stares from strangers or moving away. So a thumbs up from my friends point of view.I will totally continue to use this melon & Cucumber, suits us well, and to be honest, the best underarm we have used. Okay, so I don’t usually leave reviews cause I think products can usually speak for themselves but I felt the need to review this one.I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now. I changed because I found out I was pregnant and wanted a less chemical deodorant. I was a bit wary of buying this if I’m honest between some of the negative reviews, the fact it’s lavender scented and well, I’m a creature of habit. However, I’m so glad I did. The scent is beautiful. It lasts all day. I have caught myself sniffing myself and it smells like a really nice perfume when the scent settles. I can’t pin point what it smells like but the first time I caught it I immediately went “that’s a nice perfume!” Realising that perfume was me!I can say this lasts me the whole day, I’m not wet, sticky or sweaty in any way. The fragrance lasts as well. I have only ever felt the need to re apply during the Scottish heat wave because we were all melting but that’s an unusual thing here really. The other bonus I have noticed is the after shave bumps and rash, these are minimal. I used to feel like my deodorants stung when I put them on and and sometimes went without it at all because of this. I do not have this issue with this deodorant.I will give you a tip. This does feel wetter than typical deodorants, I have started putting this on first after I’m dried and getting ready in reverse so bottom half then top. This way I don’t feel wet when placing it on. I have however been in a rush a few times and have placed it on last as I’m heading out the door and haven’t experienced any downsides to it. No staining, no real sticking. Just personal preference to not feel “wet” when I have a t shirt on.Okay, I think I’ve rambled enough. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend this product. If you are looking for a product that makes you feel better about less chemicals and more friendly in terms of econess id say this is a pretty good deodorant for that. Sure, it’s not a 99p deodorant you could pick up at the super market but there is far dearer products out there as well. This is a decent priced, great quality product and honestly, with this less is more and I think you’ll find it’ll last longer too. I’ll definitely be trying out the other scents and for an extra couple of quid, I feel better about knowing it’s less chemicals going near my body during pregnancy.5* highly recommend :)

I’ve tried many of the more aluminum free deodorants. This one is pretty effective. Maybe not quite as natural as some, but it works.

This deodorant works and the essential oils smell really nice, not artificially perfumed. Lasts months, isn’t sticky snd doesn’t leave marks.

I bought the fragrance free version because I'm trying to get away from artificial ingredients. On the positive side it's easy to apply, isn't sticky, doesn't leave white marks and obviously doesn't smell like anything at all. I've had no issues with reactions to it so the effects of it on my skin have been zero which is good. However the performance isn't great and I've had to reapply a couple times during the day whilst in a warm office.

Had to stop using my original crystal deodorant because it started giving me a rash, after having had happy pits for years.Decided to try this one. Bought the melon and cucumber scent. I love it, though as other reviews have said, the scent doesn't last long after applying. I have to use about 4 or 5 up and down rolls on to get me through the day. Takes ages to dry so I use my hairdryer setting on cool, to speed up the process.So far, my pits are liking the gentleness of this deodorant. No rash.Looking forward to trying the different scents once this one runs out.Edit....been using this for 25 days now and have had to stop. Like my previous crystal stick, this one has now started bringing me out in a rash. Sob. I really like it. What to use now? Running out of options.

I have a very busy career where I am running around all day long. I used it for the first time today. I just threw out all my aluminum based antiperspirants/deodorants. Aluminum causes Alzheimers and Cancer!! This product, TRULY works!!! Works well!!

Estou a usá-lo há pouco tempo, mas estou a gostar bastante. A principal razão para ter comprado é o facto de ser vegan e cruelty free. O cheiro é muito suave e eu adoro isso, porque fica quase imperceptível na pele e não se mistura com o perfume que uso. Para mim, evita eficazmente o cheiro a suor mas não pára o suor por completo, o que eu prefiro porque me faz confusão os desodorizantes que bloqueiam o suor por completo.
