    This chess board stood out amongst other options and it did not disappoint. The boxing was extremely classy and gave no clue to its contents. The board and pieces appeared as very sturdy and well made. This board does not fold and the feel is one of great expense. This set would not have looked out of place during a Dickensian era and it could have appeared in the window of an Old Curiosity Shop.

    As a newcomer to Chess, I was really happy to see an affordable set. What I hadn't expected was the clear effort that went into the presentation. The bow around the box is a nice touch, but the wrapping of the board in a faux newspaper with a history of the company and the note from the person who prepared the box gives it a personal feel that I enjoyed.The pieces look well made and have some slight variations on their surfaces that make them feel unique. For example, one of my rooks has a noticeable patch of softer wood in the interior of the turret. I'm not the type to pay attention to this kind of detail normally, but I noticed and appreciated it as I was playing.I bought this for my own use but I can see this set being a great gift.

    We love this chess set and my 6 year old wants to play all the time. The pieces appear to be tournament standard specification and are lovely to handle with good solidity and weight.

    Cet échiquier est parfait pour débuter. Sa taille est très bien, ni trop grand ni trop petit. Les pièces sont très jolies, en bois. Il est mentionné "fait main" ce qui a l'air d'être le cas puisque aucune des pièces ne se ressemblent.Alors oui, tout n'est pas parfait mais pour le prix c'est un magnifique produit ! Je suis ravie et le recommande.

    Quería un pequeño tablero de estudio, Stauton 3, éste cumple perfectamente.El tablero es de madera, nada exótico, pero madera bien trabajada y barnizada.El paquete viene deliciosamente preparado, atado con una cinta y con una bolsa de tela para almacenar las piezas, se ve que está preparado con cariño. Ideal para un regalo en su banda de precio.

    Ho ricevuto proprio oggi questa scacchiera. Che dire, sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito. Arrivata in condizioni perfette, sembrava un regalo. Grande accortenza è stata risposta all'interno della scatola. Il materiale è qualitativamente molto buono visto il prezzo. Consigliata.
