The socks are comfortable and good for their price, but the cotton is extremely thin. Not ideal if you need a thick layer for the fit of your boots. Also not ideal if you're looking for them to be super warm. However, they're comfortable, pretty soft, fit nicely, and I wear them riding. I always put them over top of ankle socks. Not suitable by themselves.
