I suffer from sleep apnoea and use a CPAP machine to enable me to breathe properly while I'm asleep. I have also had an oesophagectomy and my stomach is attached just below my mouth. If I lie down normally to sleep and get reflux, stomach acid comes into my mouth and the CPAP machine forces it into my lungs. It is exremely unpleasant and quite dangerous. I'm not looking for sympathy here by the way, just trying to explain why I really do need a good way of ensuring that the upper part of my body is raised securely.I bought one of these pillows over two years ago but couldn't get on with it. The problem was that I kept sliding down the pillow during the night, resulting in me lying flat, but with my head bent up uncomfortably. Sometimes I got the problem already described and other times I just woke up with a stiff and sore neck. The pillow was then put away in the loft. Two years later I had the idea that if I put the pillow under the mattress, it would maybe work better. There were two problems. The pillow was compressed by the heavy mattress and it was also too narrow. I found myself sliding sideways down a slope. But the general idea showed promise so I bought another identical pillow. The two pillows together are exactly the same width as the mattress and two of them can support its weight without flattening. I have been using this arrangement ever since and have had no problems. While I would accept that this is a pretty specific use for what is a general purpose item, and not really relevant to most people, for me it is well worth a 5 star review.
4.0 out of 5 stars Useful but could do with being wider
I purchased this to help with my recovery from shoulder surgery. The quality is good and the support it offers is excellent, although i could have done with it being a couple of inches wider. It has allowed me to sleep without risk of my shoulder dropping back which was the main concern post op and is a heck of a lot easier to manage than a pile of pillows so all in, not bad. Pricing is reasonable for the quality and overall I am impressed.I’ve now used the pillow for over 5 weeks, for around 18 hours a day, and it has not flattened at all (I’ll admit I was concerned it might given that it is one of the cheaper options for this type of pillow). I purchased another cover for it and the change over was a lot easier than I was expecting. It has definitely been worth the money paid for it so far, and I now have high hopes for it surviving the remaining 5 weeks of my recovery before being used purely when I’m reading in bed rather than a sleep aid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Back support
I bought this to use it on my sofa. I just had a new knee done. I could not get my leg comfortable sitting down, this is just enough to stop me sitting back too far. I’m really happy to buy this. I can recommend to anyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked for me. good size,Firm. Trapped nerve, sciatica, and epidural injection.
Not going to be for everyone. My thoughts on product then my use of it.Main points. Wide enough to lie on. Width of a chair, can be used in bed without felling like you are going to fall off the edge. Rigid...this provides support . Two angle to play with , I would say 30 and 45 degrees. Good value. Bad points...cover is thin thing but then this is an add on .My use. For trapped nerve - cannot sleep flat. Siatica and a slight prolapsed disk in lower back. This took the edge out of sofa enabling me to lie back on it again. Now using in bed as a 'frame' for pillows. Perfect for me to sleep on post injection while I recover , displacing all the weight that would have been either completely vertical on my hip.Extra can be used as knee support. - not sure who needs this but have seen it.
1.0 out of 5 stars I agree with another review, this is almost a scam! Do not buy....
With the problems I am having with my back I am trying anything I can at the moment although I really did expect a much better product. It does make me question some of the reviews on this product. The item is a cheap foam wedge in a cheap cover that is way too big for the 'pillow'. The type of support required and necessary with lower back problems is near the (lower) edges of the pillow to prevent your lower back curving in, to give it support, however the edges of the pillow are extremely week as its just cheap foam. It might work for someone who just wants a cheap foam wedge but I do wonder why one wouldn't just use a couple of pillows as I can't see how this is any better. Very dissappointed, as it could easily have been made a better product...
2.0 out of 5 stars Quality
The pillow case was far to small to fit the intended wedge pillow, also the material wasn't what I expected
Super
Das Keilkissen haben wir auf Grund der passenden Masse für die Hollywoodschaukel im garten bestellt. Passt super. Da lässt es sich jetzt auch mal gut darauf liegen. Empfehlenswert.
