I like design, very light, they will easy fit in backpack, perfect size for bedroom, kitchen or garden.Overall I'm happy with quality music for the money I paid (I'm using JBL or Logitech so I'm surprised that's sound quality is good). Easy to connect, about battery life right now I'm testing how long they can work. ;)I'm not a big fan of lights but have to admit they look good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality.

Quality of sound was not so good, but I was comparing it to a similar type Bose speaker. The LED light failed within minutes of use.If things fail quickly then it doesn’t bode well.Probably reasonable value if it continued to work correctly.Sadly I returned it virtually straight away.

Under $80 Juggernaut (3 speaker battle)

    S. · 24 February 2023

was having a hard time choosing between this, and Oontz angle 3 Pro, and a Doss Soundbox Pro. Im looking for something primarily for the house to be used in a bedroom/office. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS A WINNER and I wouldnt hesitate to choose any of the 3. Sound quality was very very....VERY comparable with each one and pretty much a wash (explained below). I dont like letting my batteries drain so I cant vouch for battery life on each one, but im not worried. Below is why I would choose each model, hopefully it helps you. Also if it matters, I listened to Radiohead-The National Anthem and Skrillex-Rumble to test the speakers.--Why I chose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. The sound was on par with the other 2 (similar wattage to the Oontz) and I liked this one just a hair more than the Oontz because it was a little crisper sounding where the Oontz was a little fuller...if that makes sense. So with the sound being the same, the fact that I could ALSO pair multiple Doss speakers for a multi speaker set up just like the Oontz (this is a great feature for when entertaining guests/having a small party/get-together), and considering I'd primarily be using this in a bedroom (where the powerbank wouldnt come in as handy like the Oontz has).....I had to choose this one. I didnt realize it was the cheapest until I had finished testing all 3 and went back to the invoice. This is the best bang for your buck speaker of the 3 and im big on value....but dont mind spending either if the value is there.--Why I would choose this speaker (Tribit Stormbox Micro 2):This one is the most travel friendly. Its the smallest and has a strap across the backside of it so you can easily attach it to a backpack, bike, UTV/ATV or any type of bar....the straps so tight to the body of the speaker that you can even put it on something as small as a car antenna and itd hold securely. Since the strap is snug to the body it stays secured. They dont list the wattage and this had the lowest wattage of the bunch at 10w compared to the other 2 at 20w/21w each.....but it was without a doubt equally as loud as the other two with trebles and bass being on par with the other two. Id really like to see how loud and clean a tribit with higher wattage sounds if this 10w speaker matched the higher wattage speakers I compared it to in my test.--Why I would choose the Oontz Angle 3 Pro instead: This one was the biggest and beefiest which I am a fan off....but I dont want you to think its a brick. its still plenty light where it wont feel like a burden lugging it around. This one also has a ocean/boat theme color pattern which is sweet and almost swayed me since i will be using this on my boat too. The other thing that almost swayed me was that the speaker can be used as a powerbank!!! So this ones sound is just as good as the other but the standout features are the looks, and the fact that it can be used as a powerbank which can come in very handy. Its not included but they have a bracket mount that clamps on to stuff.......not sure how it would hold up to movement and things like that but there is that option out there. These can also be paired with other Oontz speakers for a multi speaker set up.--Why I would choose the Doss Soundbox Pro: I hate to admit it but the price....and I actually chose this one over the Tribit and Oontz after my sound tests. Proporcional calidad-precio

    All around affordable performance

    S. · 2 August 2019

Not long ago I used to be an avid buyer only by brand name. As competition has grown on other platforms such as here on Bolo, which is great for us, so has the selection veering away from mainstream and their respective quality levels. It used to be that off mainstream brands would only produce the most economical if not unusable products. But now some of those brands have really evolved and become something of a reliable and dependable name. This is a prime example. We first used something from this brand at a friends house a couple of years ago and was already surprised then – yes, they’ve now been around some time. It seems like there’s 3 tiers of these kind of offerings on Bolo – 1) no name, completely focused on economical pricing, hardly usable 2) off main stream, slightly more but brand has now evolved where they are really good at what they do and focus on that and 3) traditional brand names, but overpriced. This is squarely in that second category. Perhaps because these companies, unlike traditional brand names, don’t have to spend resources on marketing and whatnot and thus they’re able to offer a product that’s the best blend of value to performance. The speaker itself feels well made with a high level of detail right from the get go. It’s got that pleasing weight, where it’s still light enough to be considered fully portable but yet heavy enough to not feel like a cheap toy and hollow parts. It’s pleasing aesthetically and feels the same by touch. The sounds gravitates more to the bass side versus treble, enough to the point where we almost haven't used the boost at all. It's surprising loud, enough for us to use in our mid sized gymnasium for badminton games. We wanted something specifically that had some light attributes but nothing overwhelming, and this provided the best compromise. You get rotating colours, solid or flashing, if you wish but it can be turned off if not wanted. Battery life is solid, and the ability to use it as a speak phone for calls is not a afterthought and actually works well. Connectivity is solid and has not yet dropped or had trouble pairing. In a nutshell, if you want something durable, loud, and aesthetically pleasing this will do the trick. Just don’t forget to read the instructions as every button has a second purpose if you long press it.

DOSS SoundBox Pro - Great Value In a Set of Portable Bluetooth Speakers

    D.B. · 13 January 2019

The media could not be loaded. I have become a big fan of DOSS speakers since purchasing the SoundBox xs & SoundBox Touch last year. When I saw the new SoundBox Pro at such a nice price I decided I had to have a pair. Allow me to say in advance I am not an Audiophile who gets into each & every nuance of how a speaker sounds. I am a normal guy who pops the speaker on a shelf & it serves as background while I am working or performing a chore. The SoundBox Pro is a self-contained Bluetooth speaker system. It is rated at 20 watts RMS (2x10 watt) with a pair of passive radiators. It is internally powered by a 2200 mAh Lithium-ion battery that is recharged via a standard Micro-USB connector. The unit is available in 4 colors, Black, Blue, Red, & Light Gray. The speaker feels solid & well-constructed. It is covered in a rubbery material that affords protection from bumps and keeps it in place while in use. The speaker grill is sturdy aluminum in a color set to match the speaker housing. Around the perimeter is the light ring by which the speaker performs its light show. On the gray model this is almost invisible when off as it closely matches the speaker color. I really like the overall design. The SoundBox Pro is slightly larger (wider) than the SoundBox Touch. The controls are top-mounted buttons with LED indicators for various functions. On the rear is a tethered seal concealing the Micro-USB charging port/charge status light, Audio-In Port, Micro-SD Card Slot, & a RESET button. The tether is thick so you shouldn't wind up ripping it off unless you are careless. Included in the box is the SoundBox Pro speaker, instruction booklet, a USB to Micro-USB cable for charging, & a male-to-male 3.5mm Audio-In cable.NOTE: Users are advised to charge the speaker fully before first use. Near the Micro-USB charge port is a bright red LED that will extinguish once the speaker is fully charged. From fully depleted until Auto Power Off the speaker requires about 2 hours & 40 minutes to fully charge with a 2.1 amp USB charger.Upon initial power up the speaker will default to Bluetooth Pairing Mode with the illumination set to 6-color, blink to music mode. Bluetooth pairing is quick & easy via your device, the connection is solid, & subsequent reconnects occur quickly. A small LED above the Power button indicates the speaker mode. Blue for Bluetooth, Green for Micro-SD, or Red for Audio-In mode (must have an active Audio-In connection to activate this mode). Next to the power button is an "Extra Base" button with LED indicator. The main controls are grouped in a circle on the left & include combination Playback/Volume, Add (for pairing a second speaker), and Mode for selecting the previously mentioned modes. The controls are not illuminated but provide a positive tactile feel & are easy to work out in the dark. Quick presses on the +/- button changes the volume while a long press changes tracks. As shipped the SoundBox Pro will Auto Power Off after 15 minutes of inactivity when running on its internal battery. I have not tested if this applies when powered via USB.Pairing a second speaker for true Left-Right Stereo sound is achieved via the Add button. Press Add on one speaker, then press Add on the other & the two will pair. Once paired an LED will indicate the left & right speaker. Whichever speaker is Left is the Master, with the right being the Slave. Volume & lights are automatically synchronized between units, & all controls work from either speaker, save for Power. Powering down from the Master shuts down both speakers, while powering down from the Slave powers down only the slave. When bother speakers are powered up & within range they quickly & automatically reestablish the stereo pairing. When used alone they default to normal internal stereo output. You can control the bezel light display & the setting is retained between power cycles. There is the default rotating 6-color mode with blinking to the beat, 6 color cycling with no blink, 3 static colors (red, green, blue), or you can disable the lights entirely. One of my favorite features of the DOSS speakers is the inclusion of a Micro-SD slot (32GB max recommended) so you can carry thousands of songs onboard as a sort of mini-jukebox with a MASSIVE library of songs. All the common file formats are supported. The music will play sequentially, one-after-another. If you prefer Shuffle Play, or wish to disable the Auto Power Off feature, contact DOSS Customer Service for a firmware update.Sound quality is very nice for such a small speaker. Obviously it isn't going to have the bass punch of a larger system with a dedicated woofer, but it does a great job of filling a room. There is very little distortion even at max volume. Battery life at mid volume level is ~10-12 hours. I am very pleased with these speakers & DOSS in general. The company really seems to have it together & are producing some excellent products at incredible prices. Two small caveats & a couple suggestions:1 - Need a method for switching between Sequential/Shuffle play without requiring a firmware update (long press Play button?)2 - You can not synchronously play music from Micro-SD to a set of paired Soundbox Pro speakers.Suggestions:1 - A Bluetooth app where you can change things like Shuffle Play, control volume setting, lights, & check battery level.2 - Ability to sync Micro-SD playback between paired speakers.
