5.0 out of 5 stars Works well
One of the best creams I’ve found for relieving itching skins. Runnier than I expected, but easy to rub it and smells pleasant. Will certainly be buying more if it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Glad I tried it.
Previously given a sample by my doctor to try on my hands where I am prone to eczema. It really helped to keep moisturised and itch free. Glad I purchased.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective cream against itchiness
This was first given to me on prescription. If like a 500ml tube but this is effective and expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my daughter's pityriasis rosea
My daughter intermittently suffers from pityriasis rosea - which covers her torso for a month or two before fading away again. Occasionally it is quite itchy and so we have tried using this Ultraveen Itch Relief cream on the affected areas when she is feeling itchy and she says it really helps. I know that creams and lotions with colloidal oatmeal are really good for itchiness (I used to use something with colloidal oatmeal in the bath when the girls had chickenpox and it was the only thing to soothe them!)
4.0 out of 5 stars Great on dry skin, chillblanes and eczema type rashes
This is an itch relief cream by Ultraveen which sells for about £8 per 125-mL tube as of Oct 2018. The plastic tube is packed in a printed cardboard box which is fully recyclable, and very easy to open. The cream itself is some 3% colloidal oatmeal plus various moisteurising agents. Colloidal oatmeal is in short just a really finely divided form that can be mixed into aqueous creams or baths and stays in suspension without sinking to the bottom over time. It contains glucans, fats and a natural antioxidant that can take down some forms of inflammation. Oatmeal has been used traditionally for treatment of eczema, psoriasis etc for hundreds of years, based on it helping reduce inflammation, add a protective fatty layer and to rehydrate the skin really well.I don’t currently have any active eczema but I tested it 3 times a day for several days on 1) irritated and itchy skin on my thigh and 2) chillblanes. In both cases I found it very soothing and moisturising - it doesn’t act as an anaesthetic to shut off the itch like many products on the market but it is a heavy duty moisturiser that stops dried out skin causing itching. I found it worked on the dry and itchy skin on my thigh really well and it felt moisturised and more healthy in a couple of days. On chillblanes it didn’t touch the burn to any major degree but it did soothe them a bit, which got better each time, it also seemed to be preventing the skin from cracking further and helping the really dry skin above the damaged capillary beds to heel.I have some keratosis pilaris on my upper arms which is associated - in me - with the surrounding skin getting very dry and flakey. Even after a couple of days of use, I can see and feel some difference in the dried areas.I would recommend this to anyone who has very dry skin whether it itches or not. It is NOT for itches from rashes etc as it contains no antimicrobials OR anaesthetics and won’t help. Where it works well is for dry skin that has started to itch. It is no better than any other very strong moisturiser like those urea ointments for your feet or Antipeol but the price is quite reasonable. The big difference is that the skin seems to stay hydrated longer without feeling greasy and there is some level of very, very weak anti-inflamatory effect.
3.0 out of 5 stars No real effect
I suffer from itchy legs. As advised I used this cream after a bath which is when the skin on my shins usually starts to itch as it dries out. It was mildly scented and moisturised well but I didn't notice any reduction in the itching, in fact if anything it felt a little more sensitive.
5.0 out of 5 stars Effective irritaion relief cream.
Ultraveen Itch Relief Cream, 125 mlThe cream. This is a topical cream for itchy and inflamed skin. It uses tried and tested ingredients and should be suitable for all skin types.Using.A little goes a long way with this so use it sparingly. Both me and my wife have used it this week for various skin irritations. My wife has dry skin and it was quirt effective on this. I have hard dry skin and it softened that and made it easy to remove. It also soothed stinging nettle rash after falling over on to a patch in one of our fields (stupid boy!)In use it has been effective and does sooth dry or inflamed skin.Overall.A nice cream for skin irritation at a good price.
