I couldn't believe how well-priced this lead was, because a lot of the ones I used to buy in pet stores or vet surgeries would climb upwards of £20 for a decent lead. Our dogs are Labs and we like a nice sturdy lead with some cushioning so that it doesn't hurt out hands if they pull (Labs tend to want to be involved in everything).I bought two bright orange ones to make them easier to see. They come with small reflective strips all up the lead, which is good if you're out in the evening, but you may need to wash the lead if it gets dirty to make sure they stay visible. The lead comes with a small loop for making the lead tighter if you need to hold your dog near a busy road (always good with excitable dogs or puppies) and a comfy handle. The rope lead part can be a little rough but you generally don't need to hold it with the mini-loop there to give you a little more control.Other leads I've had have snapped when one of our Labs jumps excitedly out of the back of the car. Well, sir, this one does not. It's remained strong despite an energetic Lab being attached to the end. It also comes with a handy little 'O' ring, which is a metal ring that you can attach a clip to, should you need to seatbelt your dogs in the back of the car (which is what we use it for). You could also use it to attach things you want your dog to carry, such as a water bottle, etc. The O rings have held well and haven't snapped.Overall, perfect for what we needed. Strong, reflective, with a mini handle and an attachment so you can keep your dogs safe in the car. What more could you want? It's a great price too.Just as an aside, we used ours on two large female Labs (one lead each) that weigh around 30 kgs or less. I can't say how effective this would be on a much larger or heavier dog (such as a Newfie or Mastiff) so proceed at your own risk. For our dogs, however, it's perfect.

What a great lead. Extremely comfortable to use and hold. Length is good, I like the extra handle, as you can hold your dog closer for crossing roads. Very sturdy and good for all dogs.

Exactly as was expected, well built, clearly to last, stitchings are good, the handles don't hurt the hand when the dog pulls.The shorter handle helps with crossing roads and if another dog lurches setting off my dog, gives better control for a strong dog.Worth the money definitely.
4.0 out of 5 stars Traffic handle feature perhaps not ideal for smaller dogs
First off, I like this lead. It's sturdy, quite heavy weighted, the handles are comfortable and the metal parts appear to be good quality.I hadn't really realised how uncomfortable my previous dog lead handle was (just rope) until I tried this one. Much softer padded handles increase comfortable use greatly, especially if your K9 friend thinks it's walking you sometimes, rather than the other way around!The metal parts are sturdy, and for now at least, nicely coated in black - though I can see this starting to chip away / wear off where there is metal on metal contact (the clip when attached to metal D ring on a collar, or the accessory loop on the handle, for example). I'm not overly concerned about this as it's the safety and reliability of these parts I'm more interested in. If the black wears off then so be it.A point to consider though before you buy this, is the height of your dog. I obviously hadn't put quite as much thought into this prior to my own purchase, so for anyone else indulging in slightly impulsive retail therapy during corona lockdown (!) here's a piece of advice!I purchased this especially for the traffic handle feature, to allow for closer control of my dog in busy areas and around roads. My dog is maybe knee height at most, she's quite a small collie cross. The traffic handle is almost (but thankfully not quite) too low down on the lead to use with her comfortably. If she were any smaller this feature wouldn't be great as it'd be practically lifting her off the ground by the neck whenever it's used.Another point about the traffic handle - I hadn't realised from the pictures that the extra handle doesn't just flap about when not being held, there is actually a small elastic loop that keeps it more in parallel with the main body of the lead. This is a good feature, i hadn't been sure of at first as you can't move or remove the loop, but after a several uses I see that this isn't necessary anyway. If you really wanted to, I'm supposing you could cut it off.Overall, it's a decent and fairly long lead, if the traffic handle was higher up the lead (of if i had longer arms!) then I'd give it a 5 star. If I had a larger breed dog who stood taller, therefore elevating the traffic handle higher, then this wouldn't be an issue at all, and i'd be quite confident using this lead with a larger breed as it's definitely robust and strong enough for any firm use.

Great lead love the two handle idea for use to keep my chocolate Labrador closer whilst road walking , he also likes to hold it on his jaw whilst I’m holding the longer handle ( he seems get excited that he’s walking himself ) 😂

High quality lead and very strong. I wanted a lead that i would have full control of my dog without having tonuse a slip lead... this was perfect. Extremely happy and feel safe using it for my reactive dog.

This is a brilliant lead, particularly if you have a reactive dog like mine who needs to be pulled close on occasion. The whole lead is comfy in the hand, is a good length to give the dog freedom to sniff but the additional handle and thickness of the lead in hand gives you great control when you need to have it. One thing to be aware of is, as the second handle is fixed, you do need to be aware of distance between your hand and your dog. I'm 5ft 8 and my dog is around a foot/foot and a half high. When grabbing the second handle I have to stoop slightly. It's not a big deal for me as the whole length of the rope is easy to grab and use to get more control, and I can still use the 2nd handle on occasion if I need him to tight heel. Might be an issue tho if you're six foot with a short dog! I'm not taking a star off for it as, honestly, would seem churlish when it's such a brilliant lead. Would be great if the manufacturers could make a couple of different lead options with 2nd handle positioned for different distances between walkers hand and dogs collar tho! All in all, best lead I've ever owned. Definitely recommended.

Ich habe einen ausgewachsenen 40kg-Hund und fühle mich von dieser Leine in meinen Bedürfnissen gut verstanden: die an den Karabinern verstauchte Finger gehören der Vergangenheit an. Wow! Die Handschlaufe näh am Halsband passt für uns vom Abstand perfekt für "bei Fuss laufen". Auch kann man notfalls die Leine in der Mitte greifen, ohne dass die Haut "brennt". Die hintere Schlaufe hätte ich mir einen Hauch breiter gewünscht, ist aber kein Kritikpunkt - ich ziehe die "hintere" Schlaufe nur gerne über den Jackenärmel.

La laisse est comme sur la photo et arrive dans un petit pochon. Elle est géniale, l'élasticité de la corde est parfaite et la double poignée rend bien des services pour travailler "en court" avec son chien sur les trottoirs ou plus de longueur quand je démarre avec le vélo par exemple. Ne blesse pas du tout les mains, très agréable.L'anneau pour attacher le porte sacs à crottes me sert plutôt pour "fermer" la laisse sur elle même et la mettre en écharpe sur l'épaule pendant la balade puisque je lâche mon chien, j'ai ainsi les mains libres, ce qui est super !
