    Unfortunately this does not work with the Astro A40 Mix Amp , i tried and the connection wasn’t the right one, it works perfectly well while plugged into a controller thoe so I recommend for anyone with a A40 plugging into a controller but not the Mix Amp

    Bought as a replacement after my son snapped the original headphone cable plug inside his PS4 controller. He has never used the in-line volume control so happy to buy this replacement. Fitting it was a 2 second job and it worked immediately. What he did notice once starting a game up was an improvement in sound quality. The bass especially was much richer but also more controlled and less boomy.All in all a great buy.

    my awful 2018 inline astro a40 tr cable died (only produced sound out the left cup) so i replaced the wire and this works perfectly. just make sure you plug it all the way in on the 5-post jack end, if you dont get the last 1-2mm in you won't have microphone functionality and you'll lose sound in the right ear intermittently.

    I had bought an Astro A40 headset not long ago and the mic quality was terrible. Even worser than my Turtlebeach Recon P20s. I had then went on youtube and found out that I needed this chat cable to fix my issue, but the problem was the videos were people putting the cable into the mixamp pro as I didnt have that. I had bought this cable and the mic quality was wayy better. Btw i only have the headset plugged into my PS4 and Xbox contoller and it works perfectly now. The only downside was that it doesnt have a switch to mute the mic, as this wouldve been useful as I sometimes play solo online. Other than that, great produxt would recommend it to anyone not happy with the Astro’s mic quality as it is pretty shocking with the supplied cable they give you.

    Handy and cheap enough for when you need to replace the headset cable. Has let me use my headset a lot longer rather than having to replace the entire thing. The cable is long and is durable.

    Constant background buzzing, no mute button, generally poor quality.A40 Cable from Astro themselves plus their delivery charge is 11.67, this product at time of writing was 12.80 with free Prime delivery.Save yourself the money and buy official.

    I was a little nervous to pay this much for this wire because astro are awkward and you cant use a normal aux cable like you would think but this wire works perfect for my a40 tr's, only 4* because i have just got the cable but very relived it works :)

    I got this cable because it works with Beyerdynamic MMX 300. I didn't like having inline volume and mute controls on my stock Beyerdynamic MMX 300 cable. This cable does the trick. And the mic still works too.

    Câble fonctionnel avec un mixamp et un casque Astro A40 TR sans problème mais je n'ai pas pu le tester bien longtemps à cause de mon chat...Je dois en commander un nouveau.
