5.0 out of 5 stars Great running vest, even for a novice
When I was looking for a running vest I felt like an idiot as it seemed like these vests were for people running 20km+. Well, I’m here to tell you to ignore that noise and buy a running vest if you want one. This one is pretty good! I like that it comes with two bottles and a decent space in the backpack section for storing bits and bobs. I use this vest when I do short runs with my dog (the front pouches are perfect for dog poo bags and treats), and on longer runs. The straps adjust easily but don’t loosen while running. There are two steps across the chest which are comfortable while running and handy to straps things down with (dog lead, buff etc). I have a big phone and I can fit it in one of the bottle pouches, but not the zip behind the pouch. I can fit my AirPods Pro case into the zip at the top of the strap.Would recommend. Enjoy your running.
5.0 out of 5 stars Light & comfortable
Good price, good product
4.0 out of 5 stars All I needed for longer durations
I’m a leisurely runner who’s recently built up to occasional half marathon distances and for those longer runs - around two hours - I really needed to carry water. The price of these backpacks vary from the sublime to the ridiculous. Visiting a bricks and mortar store, the cheapest they had was a fashion branded model for £60 - and the essential water bottles weren’t included! Additionally, the design of that one wasn’t minimal and I imagine this would cause a lot of torso sweating. In contrast, this Geila model is light and minimal AND includes two 300ml bottles (check the option when purchasing!) which is enough for me on a HM. There is a pouch at the back for a water bladder (or waterproof jacket etc.) but I won’t be using that. The two bottles sit at the front and are easily accessible. There is a zipped pocket at the front too which is large enough to take my Samsung A32 Galaxy phone (for emergencies and essential music accompaniment - bluetooth earbuds probably needed). There’s a bit of adjusting to do so that the pack fits comfortably and doesn’t jog up and down when you run. I found on the first run, the side straps needed more tightening rather than the chest straps do. This reduced the bounce considerably. Of course, it’s not going to feel as good as running without a pack but it was a lot more comfortable than I expected, and not too sweaty! For the price, I’m really happy with this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!
I bought this to replace the exact same bag that I'd been using for a few years but had a faulty zip. This bag is perfect for running with a bottle, mobile phone, keys, money, tissues, snack, spare layer etc and still have space in case you nip into a supermarket on the way home for a block of cheese etc. It's easily adjusted, lightweight and strong.Buy it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I am really pleased with this. I had recently bought a back pack with a bladder but then realised it didn't have good enough pockets to the front. Found this and it's perfect. Still has a little pouch at the back if I want to. Good pockets to the front for gels, phone, water bottles that came with it. I run half marathons regularly and barely even notice I'm wearing it, it's so comfortable and isn't heavy. Would recommend this and wish I'd found it before I wasted money on the other one. For the price I'm really impressed with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, good price, great first hydration vest
I love this, it’s my first hydration vest and I have not been disappointed. I didn’t want to splash out too much cash without first knowing if it worked for me, and I’ve been pleased with the quality. It will probably break at some point as I run a lot and there are some loose threads on the seams that I don’t like the look of. However, for the price and the fact that I got two bottles with it as well, I definitely can’t complain. It has more than enough space for water and fuel for up to marathon distance and potentially more - I haven’t tested it for longer than this. I don’t really notice it obstructing me at all, which I was initially worried about. It’s a bit heavier at the start but as I get more tired and have run further, the water and snacks have been consumed so it gets lighter as you go.Couple of things, I have an iPhone XS with a robust case and it can be a squeeze getting it into the pocket. You also can’t get it in without unclipping the straps across your chest, which means you probably have to stop to get it out. This has caused problems when I’ve been 10km from who knows where and had to stop to get my bearings, leaving my legs unwilling to get going again. However if I’d been sensible enough to check my route beforehand, it wouldn’t have been a problem.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy and great for longer runs (female runner)
Love the rucksack. I got the bottles and the bladder to see which I preferred.Turns out having boobs has a pro and con; Pro the boobs hold the backpack perfectly in place and minimise movement compared to when my flat chested husband used it.Con: the bottles come out at quite the angle and looked like giant nipples. So I will be sticking with the bladder! It’s super comfy and I don’t notice I’m wearing it. I fill to about 1L and it sloshes but with headphones I don’t hear that.It fits my lightweight jacket in the back and pouches, phone, mask, inhaler and credit card in the front.I’m now running faster with it than without it. :-)
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Comfy and Great Value
So after huge amounts of researching and review reading, I decided on this. I was very close to going for a Salomon, Camel Bak and other named brands for a lot more money, but this one had so many good reviews for less money, much like the ones for more money. So I went ahead and got this. I was going to do some short runs in it to test it out. I couldn’t stand the thought of being stuck out on a long distance run and having trouble with rubbing or loose fitting. However, a last minute opportunity to do a 20 mile trail run came up and I had no choice but to use it. It came with two little bottles for the front pockets. And I purchased a bladder for it. All I can say is that it did not disappoint. It was fantastic. Hardly knew it was there. The bladder worked so well. It had more than enough room for my gels. Keys. Phone. Snack. Was so glad I didn’t spend a fortune.
Kleiner Wanderrucksack
Parfait
Correspond à mes attentes
Very happy with this (but don't count on the whistle)
This seems like a high quality product to me, snug fit, nice colours, doesn't jump around at all when I run with it. I've only tested it on a short run specifically to see how it felt, but I am very happy with it.I'm doing a 20km ultra in early November 2023, so I'll update the review if it fails in any way.The attached whistle though, it's a whistle shaped piece of plastic, barely makes a sound, but I don't care about that, I bought separate whistles anyway.
